I would've slowed the solo in the beginning a bit...felt like you were just pushing it a bit...

I might just work on the balance between the different parts though...!

i found the parts for 50 bucks and im getting my directors to order it through the school so we can play it. tuning was pretty rough at times. but you know you did well when all someone has against you is your tuning. so well done. solo horn was good, but credit to the low horns too. sounded good.

My horn studio is playing this now and it's a great piece of music. My only criticism is at 5:45, I think the tempo is too quick and the articulation of the sixteenth notes are too overpowering for the melody. As for the soloist, she did a great job, as most of the 1st parts are open and exposed. Talk about having some high chops! This piece requires it!

Yes 12 different parts. It was our horn studio recital--we do two a year --this was the largest ensemble ever.

I loved it and I know music as I play for the NJBB and Halle Youth Orchestra so Bravo. Not perfect but what is? I would really have loved to hear this in the church live, what a treat that would have been. The opening soloist was fantastic, that isn't easy :P

I would love to see a group of players twice the age of these kids play half as well. That is a VERY hard peice of music. It is youtube and recorded on a digital camera, how good is it going to sound? Grow up and learn some RESPECT!

oh this was a piece played on the London Horn Sound CD. It was a helluva recording... I suggest you find the CD on amazon. Its WELL WELL WELL worth your money. the top Hornists in England are on it.

You guys are straining a bit on this. Yeah, its tough to play. A bit uncoordinated. The easiest way to sound a bit better is to get a good conductor to work with you.
