LMAO this dude's an idiot. V for Vendetta isnt about the US government at all... the novel was made years before bush was president. Plus the movie wasnt about terrorism it was about revolution. Think back to when our founding fathers wrote the declaration of independence, do we refer to them as traitors even though they were committing high treason against their government? People need to think for themselves instead of blindly watching all the bs that the CNNs feed them everyday.
V for Vendetta is a graphic novel about a terrorist, that wants revenge for what they did to him at larkhill and also wants revenge on the government for issuing such orders. He decides to blow up the most iconic places in london and takes out the leaders of government. Thus the movie is off centre and WAYYYY out.
Read the novel and you'll understand why Alan Moore removed himslf from the movie.
I guess what you will take from the film much depends on what your political stance already is.
I found it to be a praise of libertarian values and the American second amendment(give people right to bear arms, and with this and other means, keep the government power weak, and fearful of its people).
i didn't see the link with the Bush govt, but then i'm British... I read it the same way, but for the Blair regime, erm... i mean presidency... i mean government.
Good movie... thourighly enjoyed it... even with Naatalie's accent
That gas sign cracked me up. Hahaa.

the movie put the comic to shame in my opinion. its so simplified and dumbed down. read the novel and find out why

Irregardless of politics, a great movie.

Umm the graphic novel is older than the book administration. If a new 1984 comes out would you say the same thing?
