A small island 2000 miles off the east coast that will produce a Mega Tsunami, The San Andreas and Wasatch faults are 500 years overdue at a 7.8 mag earthquake, and let's not forget the mega volcano below Wyoming. Also, considering those who live in Tornado Alley, in the hurricane zones, and those who live in the drought areas, stocking up is a pretty good idea.

@SakarianOutcast If you live in a dangerous area you'd have to consider what would be a wise think to do. I lived in Mexico City when the big earthquake happened in 1985. Under that circumstance stocking up would have been pointless. If you are expecting a big quake to come it you be sensible to check the house you are living in, having the important papers handy and knowing the safe areas in your house/building (the so called life triangles) if you were not able to run away.

The New Madrid area is about due for a major quake, so it certainly wouldn't hurt folks to use their brains and umm...leave that area? i live in yuma az and that earthquake was intense. we had some damage to our house, and lost about a foot of water in our pool. calexico and mexicali got worked. the water tower in el centro had 4 of its 6 support bolts completly shear, and a 5th one is cracked. were still having aftershocks, and people are sill really scared of another one

You nailed it. On Easter Sunday, April 4th, 2010 a 7.2 magnitude earthquake rocked Mexicali. The earth rolled for 52 seconds, in a non-violent manner and was felt heavily in California and Arizona. I personally was about 100 miles from the epicenter in Palm Springs CA. That was the longest quake I've ever felt, here in CA. Nice prediction.

Given your discovery (Astrotometry) is new stuff, you couldn't be expected to be clear on the interpretation of the effect of the coronal outburst south of the coronal hole that occurred just after this posting. You are to be commended for your work. May be that outburst caused the quake to occur a little south of your predicted area, and maybe effected the magnitude? You got the timing right on though!
