My bulb has failed after 14 months maybe 700 hours.Epson sent me a new one.I also have major HDMI sync problems with SA 8300HD DVR,DenonAVR989 and the 8100.I think the cable box is the main problem.I going to try running the signal direct from the cable box to the projector.When working correctly the picture on the 8100 is great.
After adjusting my settings (an ongoing process) I have gotten to a point were I sometimes forget that it's a projected picture. At least until I realize im watching something on an 8+ foot screen! The quality is truly amazing and I find it stunning that this projector is considered "entry level"! Really? Crazy!!!
I have played several movies on this.Everything looks amazing on this projector. Bought it from amazon and even after 800 hours this monster runs like a charm. Anybody interested in a low cost high quality projector should invest on this
@J1SMOKES. I have not noticed any cons on this projector yet. its been almost 8 months and I dont see any lack of performance on this. I had heard several comments on fast dying lamps but haven't had that experience myself. if u wanna invest in a projector go for it. I had tried 3 optoma projectors before going with this.
@bobbintoms Same here! I've only run it for 3 hours (on top of the 240 hours already used by the seller at Amazon) and I haven't experienced any issues. This is my first projector so I have nothing to compare it to but tomorrow im going to start a marathon of Battlestar Galactica to see if I can replace my tv with this projector!
