Beautiful song. I'm not sure why, but these two have been on my mind lately. Started watching their show and still can't believe that it's over. I still think that they could have made it work. I guess that there were bigger issues that we will never know about. I remember watching their show as a teenager thinking, "I want a love like that." I pray that God leads their paths across each other because you can see in these lyrics and hear in her voice that she truly loved him.

i think he looks very happy with Vanessa but she does not look happy with anyone.. she never seemed happy with him.. She is just not the marrying type... he is.. he is into marriage and family.. she's not.. no matter how much she wants to look like she is.. i like them both though.. i pray they find happiness no matter where it is.. am I the only who always thought he was a jerk??? He was very condecending towards her on the show. There's no way I would have put up with that especially once she was the bread winner. Who needs an ass hole telling you what to do when you are paying his bills?!

I agree with you he was very rude to her maybe b/c she was very young. But, I do think he did really love her, at least in the beginning. later on looks like he resented her.  Too bad she loved him

They could've been "80 years old (him 87) and sippin' on history"... if she hadn't ended it. They belong together. Its been almost 4 years since she filed for divorce and even in 2008 she's STILL writing and singing songs about him and what could've been? How much more obvious can it be that they belong together? He still loves her too. He waited for her to date other guys and come back to him in 2001 and he'd do it again now. Neither of them look happy with Tony or Vanessa. Its not the same.

I think they know they belong together. They had said it numerous times before. I just don't understand why Jess divorced him. Nick still sing songs that obviously seem like their suited for Jess. They should have never split in the first place. They do belong together.
