  • im thinking about doing this song for my first solo ensemble...ever....but ive only got 3 weeks left to learn it, ive never learned German or sang a German song but when i first heard this song i fell in love with it, my choir teacher says its almost impossible to learn the song within 3 weeks so im trying my best pull through and learn it.....

very good job btw, =) listening to you sing it helped me a lot

  • @shinkumuffin

hey - well i think it is not impossible even not knowing the german language:)

what could make it more difficult is that the song is interprated more slowly most of the time, which let people hear mistekes in pronouncation much better - maybe you could sing it a little quicker^^

you should listen to it and write down what you hear exactly as you hear it then compare it to other recordings^^ that's the way i do it with foreign languages like russian or czech^^

    good luck :)

  • @kanaldeckeldieb22 thanks! =)

  • Your voice is perfect for this, and has much beautiful expression, but you are performing it like a robot! The poetic concept is that of the person who speaks the language of creativity, but finds no reception for it, anywhere. He can only be at home, when, like the moon, the entire world is his home. Thus, the sadness of the first part, must be contrasted to the sublimity of the second. The best performance I have heard, is by Heinrich Schlusnuss. Please check it out.

  • I like your voice and you play well. Only be a little more generous with your talent and go at a slower pace so to have more time to savor the words and music. Otherwise youre wonderful!

  • Hi there, maybe you will like my Schubert lieder also?

Feel welcome to listen and comment

  • it's very nice :) I love this song (Lied?). However I heard first version by Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, which is much slower, faster is also ok

  • Hallo,

    LG Manne

  • i like the voice.

  • This was so funny I nearly died. Thanks for the comic relief!

  • if you understood german you would know this is not funny

  • LOL I'm from Germany!!!

I think i know and understand my mother-tongue realy well ;)

and if you had read the replies carefully you would have noticed that they are in german!

I explained there why I choose the tempo and if you don't like it - okay :)

  • I'm sorry,I did'nt mean you.I was replying to gatters1978 who said,'this is so funny I nearly died...'sorry for clicking on the wrong name.I love this music!!!I saved it as my favourites

  • A beautiful lied and a very nice performance :) Even the picture is pretty

  • Echt schön, hat mir gut gefallen. :-)

  • Nice song, good singing, I enjoyed listening.
