  • I saw you comment on my snow drift fail video and came here. This is pretty funny tho. your Lucky it wasn't worse, might be better to stick to empty parking lots. And the guy being a dick about my car is a moron. They click on a video called snow drift FAIL and they expect something amazing haha.

you can check out my latest drifting video here /watch?v=ew5JnJkgZEc

  • at least its not as bad as what happened to my car. i have an 02 Saab 9-3 and hit a tree while drifting and now i need a new front bumber and Fender, maybe even more. I dont think its driveable right now because the fender is too caved in and too close to the tire.

  • The most risky thing I've ever done was a do donuts around my friend's car in a parking lot that had about a half-foot of snow. My Jeep is rear-wheel drive when 4WD is not engaged. I just had to get some speed, turn, and apply some gas. My friend also attempted it with her parking-brake but she just slid straight sideways. Afterwards, I don't know what I was thinking after realizing I could've hit my friend's car since I had never attempted the maneuver before. It was pretty fun though :)

  • i hate e-brake sliding. nothing beats a rear wheel drive car/truck for sliding in the snow way more control. but yeah when i was like 16 ive taken out a few things luckily nothing important

  • Yo u were goin too fast. i do that lots yo, in a 94 protege and in those same stoon streets

  • @DriftUltimatum

    Yeah... lesson learned.

  • wow thats a strong camry!!

  • @cpv6

Yup, it's another positive about 91' Camry.

  • Leave the e-braking for empty parking lots

  • @KingG

I do that sometime too but all the good parking lot have the gates, which is it'll be closed at night. All the other parking lot without gates, have a lot of light poles and potholes too. So that's why I'm doing it on that street but lesson learned!

  • @DrivingandDashcam That sucks

  • Wow, you were super lucky on that one. At least your safe and that damage isn't that bad. No more e-brake... but if you do make sure there is no snow or do that in a parking lot lol

  • Wit hthis video and the snowball road rager video, I'd say you have some growing up to do. Don't stress it too much, though - we we all young once and we all made mistakes. Learn from them and be a better person.

  • @Scruit

Yup, me and my friends always do stupid stuff (not dangerous), until something's went bad, we learned our lesson and never do it again

  • That is the advantage of older cars, they have a solid bumper that is made for taking hits!

  • @DrivingandDashcam If you look at the shape of the tree it curves outward the higher it is, the top of your boot was really the only thing that made contact.

  • Well, you can only learn by making mistakes, you can just be thankful in the way it turned out.

  • @Cyclingbikingtrucker

Of course I do, happy that there are no people or vehicles parked.

  • There you go, I am NOT gonna tell you so.

Just consider your self LUCKY you only hit a small tree to your rear!

    You got off lightly!

BUT you gave your self WHIPLASH! Go see a doctor!

  • oh adam what a goof lol

  • Lucky.. like i was.. i gave my moms car for a friend, who wanted to turnthe car around. MISTAKE. :D He was backing up pretty fast and ended up in my friends car. luckily i had pretty much the same damage that you have, and friend had a big dent in her passenger door :D

  • Wow, I'm surprised the brake light did not crake or shatter! Looked like a hard hit. One question though, what were you trying to slide into? The turn? Or jsut haveing some "fun"?

Guess you learned your lesson ;)

  • @machsad1

Yeah, I was in shocked too. It's very hard one, I hit my head on my headrest and frame between backseat window and frontseat window (driver's side). My neck is very sore still. Just for fun for to drift (I often do it on that street because of not too many vehicle parked) but it went bad. Never again.

  • :P for a second I thought you were spinning the camera! :P

  • Oh My. You car took a hit. And held it. From the rear camera, that looked like a very hard hit. Pictures shows that there was minor damage. If it was 2002 Maxima, the bumper would have been smashed. The ironic part is that in my up coming Comp Video, I have lots of videos of me drifting in the snow. One drift went a little too far and did almost a 180. But glad to see not Too much damage. Sorry it happened though. Like me, thats a lessoned learned. Lol.

  • @joe24chevy

Yes, a very hard one. I hit my head twice and my neck is very sore still. I just can't believe that like machsad1 said that my taillight didn't cracked or shatter. Or a crack on my rear bumper, amazing that I see nothing mark from the tree. I guess younger people like me always do stupid thing until something's went bad, we learned our mistake and never do it again.

  • That's why I go in a large open space like my college's parking when I want to have fun with the e-brake. No chances of doing this when I do overshoot it. I would never do it in the open road for fun.

  • @sbrideau2000 Same with me too. The best place is an empty car park at 1 am. XD

  • Definitely a learning experience, and good on you for owning up to it with the property owners.

One reason you went out of control so quickly is that you were on the brakes throughout the spin. When your wheels start to lose traction, you want to take your foot off the brake and steer your way out of the spin (e.g., if you are spinning clockwise, steer to the left to keep your front wheels parallel to the curb).

Did you ever look into those used winter tires?

  • @CanuckPanda

I live in that area and it's 2 blocks away from my house, and I feel sick for escaping so I want to come back to check out and apologize.

I don't even know that I had my foot on the brake, I was focusing on steering. After take a look at the clip, my reaction to my 3rd light went on when I started to spin- "What the hell am I doing with my brake?". Things go so fast that I can't remember 3/4 of it.

I keep forgetting about used winter tires. Right now, I have no $.

  • oh no not the le lol looks like fun

  • @theXcenter

Lol at "oh no not the le". It's not fun when you lost the control :(

  • thought the damage would be way worse but it wasnt a crazy thick tree so your lucky! yeah id stay away from the ebrake after that and stick with using it only in emergancy! or okay with huge clear lot! ;)

could have been alot worse for sure - car or house it wouldnt be pretty! even a big tree! anyway it was good you got to walk away and learn a lesson! truely it is life to learn from mistakes!

  • @rextinctione

Still, strange that it was too hard-impact on that tree and leave me with no damage on my car. My friends didn't believe me until I showed them the video. I'd do it at parking lot but most of parking lot I know have a gates and unable to enter at night where there are no vehicles parked.

I drove by that street again today and there's car parked on the driveway, will be very bad if it happen today. Just unbelievable!

  • @DrivingandDashcam

lol those parking lots are smart!

though you cant see the extent of the trees damage, even that looked fine! I guess it was a pinball effect just to bounce off because all the snowy ice making it less damage! either way strange!

  • @rextinctione

I guess so. I, now know how it's feeling getting rear end at full speed limit... ouch!!!

  • @DrivingandDashcam

oh yeah! even my small rearend, I was hurting for 24hrs. I was fine though!

  • You learn the most from making mistakes.

  • Wow, that was a bit silly, eh? I'd definently avoid e-brake fun. I can't really see why you would pull the e-brake while on a straight road?

  • @DanielVectra212

I have to agree with you, yes. I often do e-brake on that street and have no problem but that time I was bit too fast.
