I am not at all for the Muslim religion, but doesn't the Qur'an expalin that Christians and Jews are following the same scriptures as Muslims and that all it does is help better explain the scriptures? If that's true, then arn't the Muslims in those countries persecuting fellow followers of the scriptures and becoming hipocrits for doing so since beating people for following the scriptures is against what the prophets taught? Something's wrong and doesn't make any sense as to their evil actions.

Islam says that the Bible is corrupted (although it isn't, archaeologically, there are more finds confirming it's accuracy than the Quran) and that the Quran is the only true "holy book"- while the Old/New testaments were previously given by God, the quran is the newest and "best" ones. The Quran and Sunnah (records of the actions/sayings of Mohamed) support persecution of the Kafir- that is, the infidels/nonmuslims.

(2:191) Muslims will tell you this is only for defensive warfare, but taken in the context of early Islam, it was offensive. Mohamed first forced the polytheists out of Makka and then conquered the entire Arabian Peninsula, and he died an immensely rich and powerful man, ruler of his own empire.

This is really sad, and it burns in my heart that these young ladies are being treated like that in Pakistan. When they report the crime, they are called the criminal and no real justice is served on their behalf. My prayers and my heart goes out to our brothers and sisters in Christ in Pakistan. Fighting fear is hardest to do when the people working for the government seems to approve of it, or are the ones doing it. Pray for the salvation of the attackers so that GOD can deal with it. HE expects us to pray and watch HIM work.

no, friend. a follower of Jesus should never seek revenge on people who hurt them. we are to pray for those who hurt us, and love even our enemies. that can be hard, but with God, everything is possible. Jesus asked His Father to forgive even those men who were killing Him. so we who belong to Jesus should honor Him in how we respond to suffering, too. Muslims are precious in God's sight, and He loves them. we can pray for them, and be a good witness for Jesus.

when someone hurts us, it's human to want to punish them, or see them punished. but Jesus has encouraged and shown us to forgive our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. it is not easy, but the Holy Spirit gives us the strength and humility to let go of hatred and revenge, and leave justice up to God. i am a Christian, and i know that forgiveness can be tough. but with God, all things are possible, in Christ who strengthens us.

@RomanCatholic93 you missing the point, issues like this is only a scratch for Christians outside the USA, just recently a mother was hacked to death, her daughter 12 old ran to the neighbor house and was chased and both , her and the neighbor were hacked to death as well. Persecution is not a how would you feel about if if your mother got raped 3 times... it is real and happening for the name of Christ.

Forgiveness can also lead to someone's salvation. Hundreds of Jews were saved during WW2 by a former Nazi concentration camp guard who had once bragged about killing Jews. He only started to save Jews instead of kill them after he was shown forgiveness by the daughter of two of his victims. Forgiveness saved hundreds of lives that otherwise most likely would have been lost.
