@EHSLittleTiff You have to be a resident of a state that has an Insight school. There are currently 8 states with Insight Schools. MN, WI, CO, KS, CA, OR, ID, and WA. If you are not a resident of one of these states you can not enroll, sorry.
You can tell I'm a mom, because I can't figure out how to post a comment other than replying to your own comment. LOL! I see this was in 2008. Did you stick with Insight? If you did, will you graduate from Insight? If you left, how come? I'm considering enrolling my son into Insight of WI.
@67bats Yup, I am still with Insight and still loving it. I have no plan on leaving so I will be graduating from Insight. I think it is a good school and I know i probably ranted about Angel in this video, but Angel is now much better and Insight has very few 'hiccups' these days. A lot of students love Insight and love the online approach to learning, some on the other hand don't function well in an online schooling atmosphere. You're son's successes depends on which category he is in.
@macluke170 Thank you for the quick reply! I'm encouraged that you have stuck with Insight. That's great that you will be an Insight graduate (early congratulations!!). I bet your parents are proud that you kept at it. I hope my son will have the same success. Thanks again and all the best for your future!
@SmileyMel1 It is sort of a health/ PE class. You learn about how the body works then you have to log a certain amount of hours working out. PE is the class that I would say is not completely compatable with online school.
@mcaliforniam you have to put an @ symbol in front of the username or else they will not be notified of your message. Personally, I love Insight. I think it is a great option! The teachers are nice and the lessons are really good in my opinion.
I graduated from Insight School of California-Los Angeles this year! It is rigorous, but it's worth it. You have to have a lot of self-motivation and be self-organized because it will prepare you for college. You may think Insight is a boring school, but any school is what you make of it. So my advice would be to communicate with your peers, join as many clubs as you can, try to attend all of the face-to-face field trips, keep in touch with your teachers, and do your work as quickly as you can!
it is also it's pilot year here, and, as you are probably aware, south carolina has a pretty slack reputation for, well, for everything. insight is no exception, it started september 2 and i have done a minimal amount of work, have not logged in daily, and have not been responding to emails. however, i have been using the insight computer to better explore my interest in electronic music and film production.
so, this isnt in my state.. does that mean i cant enroll?
