  • Hey Al, is your hand placed directly below your shoulder or is it closer to your sternum? Great job though!

  • very nice... but can you do a no-arm handstand pushup?

  • Okay I'll say it.. WTF is with that facial hair??

  • verrrry nice

  • Who the fuck cares how far apart your legs are you spread your legs to give you balance

  • @sred14 spreading the legs makes the exercise a lot easier this variation Al is doing require A LOT more strenght.

  • Wouldn't it be even harder if you crossed your ankles? Think about it, the reason why bringing your feet closer together makes the exercise harder is because it brings the direction that the energy in your legs goes "out" from your body to a focal point. But, if you cross your ankles, then they are brought completely to the same point, even closer than if your feet are "simply" next to each other.

  • best looking OAP i've seen on youtube. no one ever puts their feet together.

  • GoaT sign doesn't fit you Al.

  • Ultimate 1-a-pushup would be with 1 leg elevated I think. Or doing them on decline. 1 arm handstand push up clearly being THE ultimate one.

  • @tyciol not necessarily. 1 leg elevated can be done almost as "easily" as when you have your legs spread apart. there is tension between the one arm and the opposing leg. all you have to do is "lean" away from the other leg, bring the foot off the floor (the foot on the same side as the hand you're using), and viola! 1 arm, 1 leg. bringing your feet together is harder. crossing your ankles is the hardest, aside from 1 arm handstand push up obviously.

  • I can do that shit. I wanna see it with legs closed.

  • So it is actually possible! Thanks for showing me where I can get with my calisthenics training.

  • nice beard ;D

  • Am I the only one that gets creeped out and scared when he smiles?

  • @winstonsmith2600 nope! xD

  • @winstonsmith2600 lol no you're not the only one.

  • I saw your pictures in the Convict Conditioning 2 book :) Have you ever given that program a shot?

  • feet touching and torso and legs aligned, is the hardest, makes it into a total triceps killer. you look like you're on the way to getting there. Nice job Al

  • @shiftedshapes not only a tricep killer. It also kills the pecs the shoulder and the lower back =D damn i hate hte 1 arm push up but i really wanna get it! (not the split leg one, the perfect 1 arm push up, legs together )

  • @fermerwuvu Confused about the lower back, don't push ups challenge the abs more? Is your psoas pulling on your lumbar vertebrae? Something about the twisting + hip flexion forces?

  • @tyciol not sure =/

  • amazing

  • Probably the closest Ive seen yet to the regulation one arm pushup.

  • =)

  • NICE ONE!

  • Are they actually a good exercise or just to do for impressing chicks? They just look weird to me.

  • Thanks for all the likes and comments, everyone! If you have a question that you want answered, go ahead and post it on my blog (link is in the description). I'm having a hard time keeping up with all the youtube comments, but if you post on my blog I'll be sure to leave you a reply.

  • BEAST!

  • great work al, congrats, i'm currently doing that same progression myself.

  • Very accurately done, Mr. Kavadlo! Looks like elbow, forearm and upper arm glide as close to the body as possible. Could also be interesting to watch if you film it from the front, I think. Tremendous stress on the triceps, isn't it?

  • how about planche one arm push-up? :P lol

  • i saw on youtube one arm muscle ups but i never saw a OAP with the heels togther

  • feet together hard as heck! that's great!

  • Thanks and respect!

  • Very good, will put these into my routine sometime soon. Would a closer position of the feet hit the abs more than a wider position

  • That's as "textbook" as it gets. Nice!

  • Awesome job! Have been waiting for ages to see someone actually do the one arm push-up as done in CC, thanks Al!

  • not only strong arms, but f*cking strong core needs there! Nice

  • I can do those! But I can only do a few, I'm still building strength.

  • 1st

  • @najinajina i wish i was as cool as you
