I don't think I like the look of this very much... you see, one of the reasons I was drawn to Maison Ikkoku in the first place was the sincerity of the plotline. Even in the Anime, it was easy to believe the characters' realism, animation notwithstanding. This just looks like a bad soap. Maison Ikkoku is a great drama. I think someone can do way better than this.

not sure if ito misaki is well suited for kyoko though... she's really pretty & all, but i can't see her blowing her gasket at kyoko's parents & stuff...

love it though. can't wait to get it on DVD.

Between the live action 80's version and this one it does a better job with the characters. But then again...in my opinion the house in the 80's version looked exactly like the manga version.

I love how they try to capture the feeling in the manga. I think they did a very fine job :) though I do wish they won't try to squeeze everything into 11-13 episodes. This is one of my favourite and the story from the manga though long, didn't have much waste and the story went at a fine pace...

I really hope they'd do it like Oshin before :) 200 episodes or something...
