I forgot about this commercial totally. It's amazing how these old commercials stay in your mind and only remember them when they are triggered by the images in video. I was 14 when I first saw it. I took it for granted then, but now I treasure it!

I was 4 or 5 when I first saw this commercial but it always stuck in my memory probably because my older sister had it on VHS along with ABC Saturday Weekend Special cartoons. One was called Bunjee that I watched to death way into the late 80s/early 90s. This was my favorite commercial, I sang the song so much my sister hid the VHS tape from me for years!

I can't believe I found this commercial, I remember it when I was around 10 years old. I still hear that jingle in my head whenever I see a Hershey bar (which is like everyday in the checkout aisle).

I was OBSESSED with this commercial in the 1st grade...to the point where I was always reciting it. It got such that for my birthday that year I got Hershey bars with many of my presents.

Yep that IS cockroach! The crazy thing about this is that we have this commercial on video tapes from '84, and I never realized it was him until a few years ago when one of my younger sisters (who wasn't even born when this commercial first aired) was like, "Isn't that Cockroach?" I was like, "It SURE IS!"

Yeah, he will ALWAYS be "Cockroach" to me. "Cole" was cool, but I LOVED "Cockroach."
