  • i think it takes 700mph to break the sound barrier, this was traveling 7000mph! ripping the sky

  • wow amazing...tht went up fast...when the next time there launching another shuttle ???

  • The next shuttle will be the STS-125, the last Shuttle mission to the Hubble Space Telescope, it will be the Atlantis Shuttle, it will be launched on October 8, 2008.

  • I love to see lauches into space. I was born too late to be a part of the apolo missions. My earliest memories was one of the saddest in history. I was in the 4th grade and our teacher turned on the TV so we could watch the space shuttle Challenger cary a teacher into space. Somehow when watching the tragedy my brain new what happened even before my eyes finished sending the signal to my brain. I new then as a 4th grader as I do now. With great ambition there is great triuph and great loss.

  • GLAST must be pretty heavy, if NASA went for the Heavy Boosters.

But it was a beautiful launch, very impressing speed.

And I second that awesme1! Bravo for GLAST and NASA!

  • thank you! :-)

  • What a great lift off! BRAVO for GLAST and everyone that was involved...CONGRATULATIONS on a successful launch!
