  • John's best songs- the early ones- were written with Cyn in mind. Yoko inspired some classics too, like "Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except For Me And My Monkey"! :-)

  • Cynthia is very kind to John's memory even when he doesn't deserve it which is most of the time. He could sing and create music but as a human he was a total failure. People accept the bad behavior of the rich but its wrong. He treated Cyn and Julian like dirt and so did Yoko.

  • Women do play a huge part in breaking up marriages...some women only go after married and rich men. Men are the weaker sex so I mainly blame the women.

John left Yoko for another woman for a while.

  • @msanthropez Actually, Yoko set John up with May Pang.

  • What a strong & fabulous woman to have nurtured a child into a man, fostering the development of his true "inheritance." Cynthia Lennon & Julian Lennon are the BEST things I have ever known about John Lennon! As the mother of a son who was "left behind," I greatly admire and respect the unconditional, unselfish love & commitment to her son. God rewarded her with a faithful son......and, with the best of John Lennon -- Julian!

  • Thank you for this so much...

  • i feel like i should say something...im not sure what to say...thank you for not disrespecting john...you have shown trueheart...you are Trueheart

  • A very belated Happy Birthday wish to Cynthia. She is a lady with a great deal of class. I don't ever recall her giving John (or Ono, for that matter) any bad press. She went about her business as a Mother and raised her son with dignity and love. Julian has all of her qualities and can be very proud. I wish her nothing but happiness. Did Cynthia ever remarry or find love again? It is my wish that she did or does.

  • @NicoletForest She married quite a few times. Though money tore her second marriage apart, as her husband, Roberto could never keep enough money to support them. Then to John Twist. Their relationship was torn by distrust, and just not enough loving. But she married again, and I think the relationship has carried on today.

  • I remember back in about February 1968 when I first saw Cynthia & John on TV together, leaving with the other Beatles to India. Cynthia was absolutely gorgeous!

The following year my wife & I named our first child Cynthia . We have always followed Cynthia Lennon's life through the newspapers etc. John was much too selfish and uncaring & too bad for him. Happy belated birthday Cynthia, we love you.

  • @mervkraftcalgary aww well that's sweet good job!

  • I met Cynthia once & she was a lovely & nice spirit & person!

  • Why did John have to divorce her and marry Yoko

  • @GameInfernape Because he was the problem not her ; really, he was very damaged and mixed up, and that's not meant as an insult. But Cynthia wasn't. It's surprising they lasted so long

  • My favorite song too Cyn...Happy 70th Birthday to you and John! I love you both very much and miss you both too. God bless.

  • I am about to finish reading her book about John, It is an honest book, her decency and her love for him helped to struggle against the whole turmoil that the 60's were about. My admiration and my respect for her. Peace and happiness be with you Cyn.

  • John was a beautiful person, but he did her wrong and she didn't deserve it. The best to you always, Cyn!!! LOL!

  • ever Respect her add oil

  • happy birthday cynthia (powell) Lennon

  • Thanks Britney for that bit of information of Cynthia. She's a favorite of mine also. Since I was young, I had been curious with her pictrue, her life. Anyway, Happy Birthday, Cynthia. I am a fan of your heart and inner beauty.

  • Great video. I've never seen the pic at :26, where is that from? I love that one.

Cyn is my favorite Beatle wife. I can relate a lot to her as I'm a single mom myself and had a sort of similar marriage (though I wasn't married to a Beatle...lol).

She was there from the beginning and is the most often forgotten.

    Happy Birthday, Cyn.
