a dog kept doing that to me once so i picked up my board wound my arm around like a windmill and threw my board to the ground upside down and the nose and tail tips made a loud clap sound against the ground and the board poped back up 4 feet high and that scaerd the shit out of the dog and it stoped. not to mention the dog probly thought i was raising my arm to smack it, do that next time unless its like a big as aggressive dog. then it might try to maul you.
