  • You won’t get any credit card applications if you place a security freeze on your credit report with the three major credit bureaus: TransUnion, Experian and Equifax. This will also give you peace of mind by preventing someone from taking out a card in your name because your credit file will be locked. Although you won't receive any more credit card solicitations, you will continue to get promotional rate offers from cards you have, which can be some of the most attractive loans out there.

  • great

  • Have any of you ever worked in any kind of customer service business ever? You guys are talking about sending trash back to some one who WORKS for these companies that send the credit card applications to you. Basically what you're doing is you're giving some one else the hassle of opening your letter just to throw it in the garbage. Well, if nothing else, you're giving some one a job, I suppose. Keep being douche bags, if that's your style.

  • The technique of returning the envelope without opening it doesn't work for standard rate mail (used to be called 3rd class). It will end up in the trash.

  • This is great. I send everything in the BRM envelope including my name with a slash and a "please remove". Seems to work.

  • I always send them a fake credit card app that i make my self i never get a reply back

  • LOL!!! I do the same thing!!

  • OMG... why didn't I ever thing of this? *roll eyes*

This is an awsome idea... And to top it off, I will even shit in it :) and put my name and address down so they won't send it again. :D

I'm fucking awsome! so are you for making this video.

    Thanks uploader!

  • haha

  • rofl nice

  • LOL!

Another thing one can do for "junk" mail. Have some pre-printed labels made for nominal fee such as return labels. Instead of having your name let it say "return to sender (2nd line) sender remove from mailing list"

slap that baby on the UNOPENED envelope OVER the name, draw a line to the return address for the Post Office, and drop in mail.

Works for ANYTHING. no opening, licking, tearing, stamps, required.

In-laws, foreclosure notices, stalkers, anything with return adrs.

  • I like that!!!!

  • I definitely have to try this! I get WAY too many of these! ;)

    Peace, C.

  • hahah we do that

  • Yay!

You are a bloody legend, make no mistake.

Simple, effective, and most of all, VERY satisfying... and it hurts no one.

    Brilliant stuff! : ' )

  • Or you can just have your name taken off the list.

    Be Well.

  • Serves 'em right!

  • I wouldn't say for anyone not to do this, BUT I am sure there is some postal code that requires the envelope to be used solely for the purposes intended and I don't think doing that is one of the purposes intended. Even if it is a violation of some postal code, the chanches of being caught are very small and probably the most the penalty could be is a $10,000 fine and 6 months in a federal prison.

  • treehood, the "prepaid envelope" is intended for the "return of the credit card offer" to the original sender. no laws are broken, the laws don't state that the offer must be completed you can't send it to another address by crossing it out and filling another that could be a problem.ANYWAY SERVES THEM RIGHT FOR BEING A PAIN &RIPPING MANY PEOPLE OFF WITH HIGH INTREST .also going paperless with statements is risky, computers crash, emails get lost or hackers get info, make them pay for the postage :)

  • You realize, of course, that the return envelope has your info imprinted on it with an invisible marking. All you neen is an ultra-violet light shone through a red/green filter in an enviroment composed of 50% nitrogen and "voila" it is visible. Oh yeah, your name is on a list now and your credit score has been reduced to 476.

  • Oooo aren't you clever.

awesome video, yet again. and such a good idea!! i'm totally gonna do that when i start getting hassle mail!

  • great idea!

  • GOOD IDEA!

  • I'm so going to do that.

  • Schweet - glad you are back!

  • Brilliant!

  • Man, i get about four or five of those every other day... i keep wondering why i have so much trash. that would help so much if i did that. hehe.

  • Great idea...

  • Cool Idea- I have to start doing that.

  • I used to put snide remarks on applications and then return them. but your trash idea is better!!!

  • I've heard of other people doing that too. Pretty cool idea. :)

  • That was great!! Thanks for the idea!!! 8)

  • Why nothing your name? I wonder if you can pack it so they pay more because it weighs more?

  • LOL! That was great! love it!!

  • I suppose sending them paper trash works well too. And a lot less messy than I what I'd like to put in those envelopes.

  • sweet...

  • Wait...what?!? What happened to yer hair, there, dude?!

effin excellent idea...but how would they know to stop sending you them if you don't include your name?

  • I think the barcodes/numbers on the envelopes probably identify me.

  • Aha! Duh. :)

  • Actually the barcodes are really intersting but they only show the zip code of the address the envelope is going to. If you want to know the code, I can remember it and let you know. it's a little complicated initialy but simple after a few have been deciphered.

  • lol Never thought of that Sharon!

  • Awesome idea!

  • Love it...I'm starting TODAY!

  • I do it all the time... It's my second hobby!

  • yup. good idea.

  • LOL I've heard of people doing that before! How cool!
