  • Love your idea about that challenge part. Sounds like great fun for us viewers. Just make sure you let us know about your failures also and the lessons learned. I think your a pretty sharp kid, very articulate.

  • I didn't quite catch the name for that last jig, can you message or reply?

    Thanks in advance!

  • @UARAF16 was it the feathered bluegill jig? I don't know of the specific name but I know a couple like that Northland Glow jigs and Slab Daddy jigs..I'll let you know if I can find the specific name though

  • great vid. im still a little un sure tho on how to rig the texas rig tubes. i fish mainly for catfish i have alot of great tips for them but its preety easy in general with channel cats. as far as bass go tho i have no luck i fish a lake with predominantly open water. no structure or bridges.but as far as rigging the texas rig tubes when you bend the hook do you put the hook through both sides or just run it up the middle?

  • I too fish in lakes with NO natural or artificial structure though still manage to land bass. My tip for this is too look for drop off points or sandy areas such as shallow sandy flats these are great spawning bets for bluegill and easy meals for the bass, Throw a swim bait or some sort of crankbait that imitates a bluegill or panfish, garauntee you will catch fish. Great video idea i think i might make one about this!

  • Plus check out my most recent video to learn more about the rig!

  • just a tip(not trying to be mean)but dont leave ur hooks in ur soft plastics cuz it will rust ur hook out,and when ur done fishing take ur bait of the hook and put it bak in the boz and wash the hook off in the water to get the salt off,but other than that great vid. 5 stars

  • Thanks man great tips, I have had them in their for awhile now but they havn't rusted. How long does it take?

  • idk sometimes they dont rust at all,if there stainless steal hooks they probably wont rust

  • haha i saw the spoon cork rig in BASSMASTER!!*****

  • how well will it work for silver bass that may not be the na,e but thats what i call them

  • Nice Video keep it up!

  • Thanks for watching! I use my tubes near bridge supports (cylinder coming up from the water) and I'll also cast tubes into logs and tree branches sticking out of the water, I pretty much look for anything that looks like a crappie hole or where structure is coming out of the water!

  • Great Video! Thanks -- that spoon/cork rig is pretty smart! Oh and the 3rd rig you showed with the cork and the tiny jig is almost close to what I caught my biggest bluegill on. I caught him on a pink jig head with a yellow screw tail grub. He was 15 inches!

I know there's plenty of ways to use tubes, but Ive never used a tube. Do you flip em up in trees and downed limbs? How do you use em? 5*
