  • Marry me!

  • @marceeh I-it's so sudden!

  • finally you know why the ones who love FMA: Brotherhood say it's better than the original adaptation. By the time you finish the last episode, if you're really a fan of the manga, you'll be truly satisfied in the end.

  • @ikhypk I'm a fan of the first series.. I don't like how rushed it is. I'm sorry, I've read the manga, and I love it to death, but I have to say that the first series was a masterpiece; the character development was exceptional, the voice acting and animation were top notch, though the story was not the same as the manga, it was beautiful, interesting, and engaging.

So the second one follows the manga- that's nice. But the job is focusing on the story, not the characters. I'm not fond of that.

  • @elliexomg I have to say that the 2nd one focus the story and the characters as well. The characters are well developed compared to the 1st one. (Hohenheim's death in the end, envy, wrath, greed, mustang, armstrong, lin yao, fu, may, relationship between ed and winry are well developed).

I think the brotherhood between ed and al is about the same as the 1st one. The existence of Truth & Father makes the 2nd one more engaging and interesting. The ending is far more satisfying than the 1st one.

  • @ikhypk UH. I think you need reevaluate your analysis there, buddy. In the first series, the Elric brothers find out that you CAN'T bring someone back to life- even IF you use the Philosopher's Stone.

I do agree that the pacing is fast for the fans who have already seen the first series; I understand the point of making a spectacle out of the latter part of the series rather than the first- I just don't like it. The character development is far more rushed and ill focused, in my opinion. :\

  • @elliexomg I watched the 2nd one & the 1st one again as well.I'm 100% sure the 1st one mentioned that human transmutation is possible,it's just ed and al can't find something that they can exchange equivalently to a human soul yet. Just because they're unable to find it yet, doesn't mean it can't.It's different.Ed ends up in the real world(1st one),but 2nd one Truth exists, a soul that dies return back to akasha and becomes 'one' again. Pacing in the 2nd is a weakness, I agree, so I won't argue.

  • @elliexomg The only thing the 2nd one lack is angst & pain experienced by ed & al since the pacing is fast in the first 16 episodes, it makes audience hard to feel them. (Nina, Hughes' death, human transmutation, etc). Comedy in between makes it worst.(I like them though)

I think they make the pacing faster because of the fans. (If u love the 1st one, u will read the manga) I'm sure no one would want to watch the same thing the 3rd time again, if they make it the same pacing, no one watch it.

  • @elliexomg The important thing is the meaning behind the whole series. the story & characters have the same importance. The 2nd one or manga specifically mention that Human Transmutation is impossible, if a soul that has left the mortal world and passed on into the afterlife, you can never be bring them back, not even with philosopher stone. A life is priceless. For the 1st one, it is possible to bring the dead back into the living, using the Stone or a human life as material to recall the soul.

  • to*

  • In the end all that matters is what you like and what you wanna do. Not trying yo please others

  • @king92191 Indeed.

  • Me ♥iiz this video! n_n I've know a lot of people who need to hear this advice. I think about 98% of my friends are anime freaks :P and I dun like anime and I still loverz them. n_n People who judge others suck and it makes me wanna take your words and shove it in their faces. x)

  • @kassandrap93 Er. Thank you. My advice was meant to be generalized, so yes, any kind of discrimination is ignorant and self eccentric. You can have friends who like one thing, and you can still be friends knowing such. There's no reason to make a hobby or an interest or a job the deciding factor in a relationship.

  • Hm, this was a very interesting video. I'm the biggest closet anime fan there is, so your advice was pretty good for someone like me :D. It's too bad there's such a stigma around anime :/...anyways, I look forward to more videos and more interesting topics :)

  • You do bring up a good point: there's a lot of hate that comes with being a fan of anime. But I urge you to look at the good. I know that it's difficult to share what seems to be quite a highlight of criticism and hate, but I honestly believe that there is no reason to keep it in the closet.

  • It's just cartoons. And if someone wants to challenge you to justify yourself- bring up the fact that about 80 percent of our children's programming in the 90's was anime. (TMNT, Pokemon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Dragon ball, Sailor Moon. . . The list goes on and on)

If your friends aren't into it, try finding people who do. It's not as if they have any reason to turn you down, or look down on you- they're the same kind of person.

  • When it comes down to it, there's really nothing to be afraid of. There are so many people who worked hard to produce these wonderful animes for us. The least we could ever do, is share with like-minded fans like ourselves.

Ah, when it comes down to it- really. There's just nothing like sharing the things you like with other people. And I hope that you do find people that you can share this with. :)

  • well i guess im weird too for still watching cartoons, might as well make a club or something ellie

  • . . . How does that, AT ALL, agree with anything I said.

You shouldn't feel "too weird". There's nothing weird about enjoying a story that is told in the form of moving pictures, instead of dolled up, orange bimbos.

You didn't really get the message, did you? :\

  • i know what you mean, guess you didnt get the joke?

  • It didn't seem that funny. :\ Or at least executed well enough to sound funny.
