  • I know how you feel Walter. Feb 2008 I was deported with my family to Armenia. I have lived there since I was 6 and now I'm 26. We have no criminal records or anything. We worked good legitimate job, paid taxes and everything normal American families do but we were unaware that 2 years after we arrived we were ordered to be deported. We had S.s.n and work permits so all those years we were just waiting for our green card but they fail to inform us about our deportation.

  • ...They even had our home address but they didnt even bother. Its just very frustrating! When we got here it was very hard for me because I didnt even know my own language very well.. I just wanted to let you know that I understand your frustration. Their are all these criminals running around but while we are trying to create a calm steady life for us we are the 1st on their list to send..

  • if i get caught, I pay the fine..... They get caught, the fine should be death

  • Funny.. you say a law is a law but yet every single one of y'all brake laws yourselves!! Littering in public, drinking and driving, underage drinking, smoking weed or other drugs. Stealing, Breaking mailboxes for fun... Etc. You know what I mean. But yet judge someone based by being here, with them speaking english and everything. Fucking hypocrites.

  • It's a shame but....they only have their parents to blame. They don't belong here. Should have never been brought here!

  • please give this boy a chance to stay.so he can give back to are Country,he is a good boy and can do good to are Country,

  • The first law of any sovereign nation is its borders. Walter may not be guilty of the actual violation his parents committed, he's still here under illegal pretenses all the same. It may SEEM unfair, or cruel, but laws are only laws if they are enforced without bias. And to let Walter stay simply because he was ignorant of the conditions of his arrival don't change his responsibility to deal with his illegal presence here. To do otherwise is an insult to all those who do it the right way.

  • this is terrible and unfair

  • Hello WE ARE ALL IMAGRANTS THIS COUNTRY WAS FOUNDED BY IMAGRANTS IT WAS BUILT BY IMAGRANTS THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT ARE TRUE AMERICANS ARE INDIAN AMERICANS.

  • @Wscate - What are you, an Aztlan-ista?

  • @Wscate 1. ) Actually if you want to get technical Native Americans aren't even Natives . The people we call Native Americans are actually from Asia and before they were in Asia they were in Africa, as were we all . We as Americans only call them Native Americans because they are the first known HUMAN inhabitants of what we call the Americas .

  • @Wscate 2. ) The Native Americans walked across the Bering Straits during the last ice age from Asia in several migrations over thousands of years apart . Now you can choose to believe science or oral history of the Native Americans it's up to you . I look at the Native people of America as Natives YES , but not because I believe that they just sprang up from mother earth in the Americas but because they were the first known HUMAN inhabitants of the Americas .

  • @Wscate 3. ) Just because they were the first humans here doesn't mean they didn't migrate just like everyone else . They just migrated to the Americas before anyone else did . If it wasn't the Natives it would of been some other group of people that would be called the natives of America . America still would of been populated either way the Natives just got to it first, they were LUCKY .

  • after 911 ICE can deport any one found guilty and no need for a judge to decide. Law maybe bias to some, but it was made to benefit many.

Obey the law or find a good lawyer and try yoru luck with a compassionate judge?

  • @philip2go Judges are only allowed to alter deportations if there is a risk of religious or political persecution should that person be returned to their country of origin. I doubt there's death squads waiting for Walter Lara back home. And there's no human rights violation in sending him home other than in the imaginations of those who find enforcement of laws to be "unfair".

  • i see all these vids about young folks being deported...here's what i would like our government to do...focus on the iLLegals who are criminals and who do NOT speak read or write English...those who speak English let them come and make application to be a US Citizen, furnish proof how long they've been here illegally. Rather than deportation a monetary penalty assessed at least double what naturalized citizen paid this should be deducted from their pay checks.

  • @bamissfa Riiiiight, because only illiterate illegals are a threat to our society? That's retarded thinking. Being here illegally, is being here illegally, and no amount of education or money should get you special treatment. After all, you wouldn't want to get stopped for speeding and watch some rich kid in a Maserati be told he can go on his way just because he's rich and well-educated. Would you?

  • blame not the government, it was your parents who lied to you? You should have know that before? 25 years is too long to ignore your status, at 21 yrs old you should have been a responsible man? Be thankful you have the education that you can use to where you will be deported, never lose hope?

  • @philip2go once he goes he cant come back for 10 years. if you don't know shit about immigration law stop blabbering your mouth

  • @gtfoomfg wtf...? you mistook me from someone..?. yes I know immigration what was your point... the guy was educated thou he was illegal and is now able to use that at the country he is being deported? Yes 10 years is right.... but no guarantee he can come back after that? Why dont you read my blog over and over before you make comment, were on the same boat ( I guess...) unless you are a moron dumb?

  • Once the hyperinflation hits, this will be Argentina.

  • CHEER up obama is gonna do away with borders and change the world as we know it ....one world one government one religion "islam" kiss freedom good bye and cheer for illegals being legal in a non free world

  • thinking that great wall of china would do a little better but then I realized the mexican's would be employed to build it and they would of course make it illegal user friendly

  • The only thing wrong with the immigration laws is that they are largely not being inforced, just a few cases here and there that are televised to make people think something is actually being done about the problem. Just take a look around most lower income neighborhoods and tell me what you see. It could be middle class neighborhoods too.

  • your parents screwed you not america

  • @wazzysbabygirl fuk off ignorant

  • @wazzysbabygirl We know that but his parents don't fix immigration policies

  • Walter:

God bless you and keep you!

  • This is a sad story, really. There ought to be some appeal procedure for these cases. I am ignorant of the limits of the laws, but it seems to me that someone coming from another place in America ought to have preferred consideration. Maybe they are angry that Argentina has better beef. His leaving is a loss to the USA, but a gain to Argentina. His deportation is a black eye to US image in the Americas.

  • WHY HES JUST GONNA COME IN AND MAKE MORE KIDS

    SORRY NOT GONNA HAPPEN

    WE ARE ALREADY OVERPOPULATED

  • @chuy655 cut down on your weight and we'll have more room you fat piece of shit

  • boo hoo too bad for you and your dream act too. Good riddens maybe next time you will think twice before breaking federal laws. This is no dream act, it is a nightmare.

    b

  • @atlasdguad77 you are so IGNORANT

  • @atlasdguad77 he didn't even know what federal law was at age 3 you piece of shit

  • good luck to you.... wish you the best

  • @Jacklord1967 Sorry, pal, I don't respond to hate.

  • Would you hire this Walter Lara guy? He's always going to be working minimum wage jobs, and never being able to use his higher-level skills. Much better to direct our educational effort on American kids, whom you know will be able legally to apply the skills they learn. This idea of our educating the world, it's just not worth it. We must educate our own. That needs to be a priority.

  • @kerthialfad Wow! What a solid guy you are! He is an american. He grew up here. He's part of this culture & strikes me as an all right guy. What are YOUR credentials? What kind of education do you have? & who said anything about educating the world? Seems to me that more educated people in the world the better off the WORLD is in general. What are you? Where are you from? & what is your point? You don't seem to have one except to be some sort of Jingoist asshole.

  • im being deported i have an autism brother a sick mother and america is the only place ive know...how there be heartless people out there!!! our life is here if they send us back to salvador theyll kill us!!! just because everyone will know we come from america theyll think we have money but we dont were just middle class!!! im so scared!!!

  • @HeyHeyHeyitsSindy , WHY YOU LEFT EL SALVADOR, PERHAPS THE PROBLEM WAS TAHT, RUN AWAY, SO, TARDE O TEMPRANO IBA A PASAR

  • @HeyHeyHeyitsSindy Don't listen to DerailAmnestydotcom and other motherfuckers let's just hope they die of heart disease or cancer. those old white trash

  • @DerailAmnestydotcom STFU Sam you xenophobic idiot! You should be tossed out America. We don't need pricks like you in the USA.

  • @DerailAmnestydotcom We're hoping you die from diabetes or heart disease you useless fuck. We need to legalize them so we can collect taxes from them which is good for America. You're useless lower class piece of shit not good for anything old fart

  • @gtfoomfg Don't flirt with me. It's really inappropriate. I'm much too old for you. Try drawing the attention of someone who would make a more appropriate romantic partner.

  • @DerailAmnestydotcom like your mother bitch

  • @gtfoomfg Man show some respect. You liberals and some conservatives leave all manners aside and talk like trash.

  • @calihartley2010 I'm sure screaming ILLEGAL IS ILLEGAL, MEXICANS GET OUT is more appropriate for table manner.

  • @gtfoomfg Both are appropriate.

  • @calihartley2010 You should be talking about manners

  • @gtfoomfg i am talking about manners. These illegals should have manners and do what is right. You too must have some manners and support right, not worng.

  • @calihartley2010 I support what I believe is right.

  • @gtfoomfg so what do you think is right? Encouraging people to come here illegally, misuse the system, commit crimes, have a ton of babies and then expect the US tax payer to support them, refuse to learn English and expect the americans to speak Spanish. If you think that is right, then you need to have your head examined and your morals too.

  • Something is wrong with the immigration laws. I he is 23 years old and have been in the USA since he was three then the law somehow have to change to allow him and many others like him to legalize their situation.

  • @musicany19 Sure, lets just change every law on the books to make exceptions for individuals. Yeah, that won't cause ANY confusion or bias! Get real! Laws are laws, and ignorance of them is not an excuse. And if we are not a country of laws, then we are lost.

  • Lindsey is scared.

  • and, it just so happens that, with the inevitable change that is bound to come, you wasting time championing your jaded political beliefs will turn out to have been time wasted.

trust me, i'm not wasting time. change is coming, and you are no one to stop it. you are nothing in the way of change, you are just a birth certificate and a stamp...you have no power over it, and that is a path you yourself have chosen... :)

  • guess what, he's staying, and that's because a change is happening.

this isn't an immovable issue, it's changing every moment, otherwise the letters of those with a conscience wouldn't have made any difference in this boy's life. he's staying and that's because the movement isn't futile.

it's not a matter of whether or not a change will come, it's only a matter of when it will come. and, no matter how close minded and you maybe to notice, it's coming right under your nose. open your eyes.

  • Look people no matter what if you are not born in the United States and you come over your and Immagrant. I mean yeah it sucks becuase thers alot of hard works and nice poeple that need a chance. Is not our fault that the "White Man" dont want to work hard labor. So what they do they get people that will work in hard labor. So open your eyes and see that they making us look bad and making them look good.

  • lindsey. Also be an AMERICAN is not what you mean. Say that to more than 65.000 immigrant soldiers in Iraq fighting for your freedom now. So are you going to tell me that you're going to deport somebody in the family of an american soldier, after his coming back? You are the type of person that is very ungrateful. I don't know you. But what you have showed to us so far, is that you are very ungrateful.

  • Like the problem of this country are lawyers... Three things America cannot live without:

    Insurances, Doctors and Lawyers.

  • you are saying he didnt know this was coming??.he is intelligent..play by the rules..besides im sure he will be granted citizenship..if you dont hold all accountable then people will abuse the system..look at the constitution..because of undifined loopholes this country is torn apart internally from lawyers who abuse the rule of goodwill..cant play nice anymore with regulations..end of story

  • What's your point? as i can see, you don't know his history. He didn't know this was coming. Before you say anything, read his history. He played by the rules! He has a college degree. He didn't know he wasn't an american by papers. He thought he was an american just like us. It is not his fault. This is a total different case!

  • He's going to stay One More Year!!!!

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!! HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!!!

  • "the law wouldnt let her children stay in the home because they have been there for years". But in The United States of America, the LAW would'nt let the children without a education, benefits etc. It Would find a way to bless these children for them to be a better citizens. That's my America and that's what I want for my child. A merciful America. Not yours, with no understanding and want to destroy peolples' lives. By the way, My America said that he can stay here for one more year.

  • lindsey 2021: If you find out, that your parents lied to you, saying that you are an america, are you going to tell me that you would go back to another country deliberately on your own will? After you have been here for 25 yrs? If you say yes, you are lying...

  • walter didn't get deported so WHAT NOW HATERS!

  • The main problem I see with the opponents of CIR and a fair immigration solution is that they view this as a black & white issue - they can't see the difference between a young man like this and a criminal with 12 fake IDs and coke in his pockets.. things should be taken on a case by case and humane basis. Our immigration policy as it stands now hurts EVERYONE on all sides of this issue.

  • On a smaller level, it just makes better economic, political, and societal sense to allow those young adults who are already here - and who have already proved themselves to be upstanding members of the community who know the language, culture, and customs of this country - to be productive and give back to the country. A common argument that is given is that we give too many resources to these children - so let them pay it back instead of exporting it away !

  • It's important to remember the contributions that these kids could make to society. We could end up deporting a doctor that could find the cure for cancer or a lawyer that could help hundreds of people.

  • To Tasksgirl: Finally! someone with sense...

  • He's an american by heart! You cannot judge people because of papers. And you call yoursel a christian? Yeah right... Another one...

  • you got this walter.

  • How is this the united states fault? If you dont take the proper channel to legally imigrate here, then this is the risk you put yourself and family in. His parents deserve the blame here. Im not signing that.

  • You said it, his parents, SO why should he pay for their mistakes?!

  • 1) he isnt a US citizen

    2) because its the law. US and its citizens shouldnt be responsible for the criminal actions of illegal immigrants. his parents knew full and well what they were doing.

  • So, this case, he came to US at the age of 3. Doesn't know anything about another country, not guilty at all, He's 23 yrs old and because of his parents mistakes, You want him to be deported? What kind of american are you? I want to say something to you as an american citizen: This is not America! This is not human and this is not right. This kid deserves a better and fair opportunity as any human being. He DID NOT do anything wrong. He is an american! Just give him the papers! !!!

  • I feel sorry for you. You have no mercy for people in your heart. God have mercy on you.

  • I respect your opinion. BUT HE'S NOT A CRIMINAL!

  • Man, your mind is so narrow! My goodness!!! How can you be like this? Are you happy at all? That doesn't have nothing to do of what you're saying! He has been in this country for 20 yrs. He's whole life is in America! He didn't do anything to deserve this! No everybody has this type of case. He was not born in the US, but that doesn't mean his not an american. In his case! Don't you understand? Forget about his parents. He's the one that is suffering. What kind of a heart do you have?! My Jesus!

  • according to the US constitution, he is not American. Religion, jesus and whatever else has nothing to do with this. its right and wrong. As i said, the law isnt only exclusive for the parents. sometimes the children have to pay. the parents steal a home, the law will vacate everyone not just the parents. the home in this case is the US. if the parents are illegal, so are the children. this is what happens when you try to committ a crime. everyone pays for it.law is law. thats the end of it.

  • You can say whatever you want! The american law, said he's going to be in this blessed country, for one more year. Write back to me next year, after he receives his green card, and then we'll talk back. For now... Bye Bye... By the way, you need Jesus. Not religion.

  • lindsey, not everyone in this country has been able to live the same life of unruffled privilege as you have. people who speak as you do don't really know what it's like to face these kind of adversities, otherwise you'd be less callous and more sympathetic.

yes immigration law is immigration law, and there are abuses to the system. ideally, the law should always be followed. but the world doesn't work in the little ideal construct in which you imagine it to work. students like walter lara

  • prove that the system is broken. immigration law was not handed down by God. our country sucks on this issue. there is a moral imperative to make sure that immigrants, who have been lured here for decades with the promise of jobs by big business ceos who seek to exploit them for cheap labor or who have been driven out of their countries because of political turmoil, much of which can be attributed the the great old USA's self interested imperialist efforts of the past, are dealt with humanely

  • and that the fact that most immigrants are contributing members to society who pay taxes is acknowledged. yes, the family broke the law, but individual situations have to be taken into account. hard working students like walter lara are not criminal worthy of punishment, they are assets to our society.

why hurt our country by prohibiting truly intelligent individuals from contributing to America, the only nation they identify with? if you agree that every documented American you have ever

  • met is more deserving of an education than walter lara, or other immigrants who have consistently graduated at the top of their classes, volunteered, and competed with students like you, than you need a desperate reality check, and i can safely say that you are less American than any undocumented foreigner can ever imagine being..

  • you are wrong. /end.

  • you are the one with the skewed perception of what it means to be an american. firstly, your argument doesn't logically proceed because despite how screwed up our system is immigrants can gain citizenship, so being an american isn't a birth right.

furthermore, not once did i say all intelligent people deserve to be americans.

however, people who identify with what it means to be american culturally, who have grown up here all their lives and identify most with this nation are americans.

  • there's more to individuals than their birth certificates, and that is what you so sadly fail to see. you think callously and selfishly, you fail to imagine what the lives of other human beings may be like. some of these immigrant stories involve political turmoil and economic despair, much of which can be attributed to United State's actions in the past. our system is broken, and you fail to give credit to all the arguments i made before signifying that fact, you just go back to the fact that

  • you're in the right because you have papers. well that is unfortunate, if you define yourself by papers, that is what you will become a statistic. you are subhuman, you are just the text book definition of what it means to be an american, another stat on the census. you have absolutely no attachment to american ideals, of liberty, justice, equality for all, empathy, progressivism, fairness, compassion. you are none of those things, you are just a stamp and a piece of paper. for that, i pity you

  • j.k rowling once said "Imagination is not only the uniquely human capacity to envision that which is not, and therefore the fount of all invention and innovation. In its arguably most transformative and revelatory capacity, it is the power that enables us to empathise with humans whose experiences we have never shared."

you lack the uniquely human capacity to imagine and empathize with individuals. you close yourself off and bask in your life of privilege. you are sad, because you can't imagine

  • robots can be made to follow the law and listen to hierarchy. you aren't special because you function on a basic text book definition level. you aren't more deserving than anyone else, you are just lucky.

and your inability to recognize that your luckiness should motivate you to IMAGINE and EMPATHIZE with others, and then help them, make you, categorically inhuman. enjoy your papers, you are nothing more than a robot.

  • /end.

  • becuase he could of still applied to be a citizen since the age of 18 hes 23 now

  • I was expecting a song about being deported...

  • Lmao.

    Wooo hoo!

    He didn't get deportated! ;D

    Let's party.

  • lets take a shot to that!

  • Tequila? or Rum? lol

  • Fuck it one of each!

  • signed, good luck

  • Oh my Gosh congrats! We are all glad you're not getting deported!-)

  • I signed it and sent it to everyone i knew... congrats though, i heard the good news.

hopefully The Dream Act will pass

  • Walter,

    Keep praying hard.

  • Hey Man I am in a similar position as you. I hope you get out of this mess and hopefully they pass the Dream Act very soon.
