my Bull Terrier kills cats and foxes. we live in central Florida and our property backs up to the Ocala National Forest. he keeps out property free of ant invaders. he catches the cats easier, the foxes are really fast. he'll just bum rush them slkam into them with his body then quickly latch onto their back and shake them real hard and snap their spines.hey it's not my fault there are irrisponsable cat owners who let their cats raom.his biggest kill was a 48lb coyote(my Bully is 68lbs)
Because he is stone deaf he breaks things and sends things flying with loud crashes. If a fox tries to intimidate him by barking it has no effect which unnerves the fox. At the moment Mickey is fast asleep on the top of our Canon Ink-jet printer which must be one of the more uncomfortable places to rest.
@nestlemarie The next door neighbours have a female cat much smaller, who makes his life a misery and cost us £76 in vet fees for antibiotics to treat her bite marks. I understand that cats have superior night vision to foxes which gives them an advantage.
This is just sooo darn FUNNY !!!!! LOL !!!!! Over the holidays we showed this to our guests at our party. Everyone started laughing so hard !!!!! It was the highlight of the evening. Thanks for sharing.
I suppose it depends on the environment. Out in the wild where food is scarce I guess so. Here in urban London, food is plentiful. They are just opportunists. Round here the only thing they attack are the plastic rubbish bags.
Anyway we've had Mickey for two years and I think he has killed more creatures than the fox has. Two goldfish, four mice, a bird and two frogs. We have rescued two mice, a bat, a goldfish, a toad, and two birds at least before he could inflict mortal damage.
Nowadays the foxes only get a bowl of sultanas which they love and a fresh whole egg which they take away. I put out some old stilton cheese and the foxes took that as well.
The cats won't touch any of that stuff only meat. The cat catches moths in the air and eats them.
