@hanbichan Yaoi has Uke Seme, where the Uke, the submissive one, is just female who happens to have a penis. Unfortunate tropes such as 'rape is love' are quite often the trope. Soft porn is just soft porn, and it has relativily less sexism. Yuri on the other hand rarely is sexist, since both of the females are really female and don't work much with a submissive and dominant role.

And Yuri does HAVE a submissive and dominant role, it has the more masculine girl and has the more femimine one. And ecchi portraits girls as what they are not. It shows ecchi scenes where girls get turned on by a puff of wind! It shows girls being way too feminine and way too submissive. Don't give me that bullcrap of how sexist yaoi can be if the other subgenres are doing the same.

@Evnyofdeath Yes they usually are, it kind of gets irritating, but recently I haven't seen that around much. There's still a lot of Yuri manga with an abusive boyfriend, portraying males as violent and sexual only. And normally in shonen we see girls being there just to be the love interest of the main character, no personality at all. It comes from all sides this "sexist" issue, I guess what makes me more angry about it is that people usually just pick on Yaoi, don't know why though.

@hanbichan There is no Yaoi with two musculine men. THAT's Bara. I have not yet seen yuri with 'roles'. Both females are quite female even if one is tomboy. You are not talking about ecchi, which is panty-shot stuff. You are talking about hentai. Those are usually for males and has a lot of sexism, yes. If it is a fanfic, usually made by woman, yaoi fics tend to be far more sexist that het fics.

She wasn't feminine at all, quite the opposite. And no, I'm not talking about hentai, I'm talking about ecchi. Highschool of the Dead, Onegai Teacher and all that crap. It's 100 time worst than any Yaoi manga and I still haven't heard one complaint. And those kinds of fanfics are normally done by teenagers who can't write.

@dundeecake BL is for both shounen ai and yaoi (I guess) and no, there aren't two "semes", there's still a submissive role. It just isn't as delicate as normally Ukes are portrait.

Well thank heavens, because that stuff usually makes me doubt of any female-male interaction in the ecchi department. Did they ever talked to girls? Because usually romance doesn't work like that.

I read a few that were good, there are a lot of skilful writers out there... But the majority doesn't apply to that.

@hanbichan It's always very obvious stuff is written by males. I've seen many times that female character have enormous boobs and without wearing a bra they just can run and fight. On the other hand in ecchi stuff, they make the boobs really sensitive. It's pretty obvious that it's written by a male who lacks knowledge.
