  • @jlw9358 The nature of jazz is that anyone has the right to do as they see fit. The real question is, does it sound good.

  • Grew up three floors above this lovely, lovely brilliant man in NYC. His daughter babysat me a couple of times and I had the honor of seeing him practice on his home piano -- I was only 4 or 5 and thought he was an investment banker like my Dad (because of his lovely suits) and he just knew how to play really well for fun...lol!

  • Lewis first recorded Django for the first time in 1952, and never stopped recreating this piece since then, recording it over and over. This incredible posting reveals what may be one of his last reflections on his masterpiece, since he died not longafter that.
