The fact that Guy was close with his co-stars speaks volumes. I would have loved to have spent time with them all. I'll bet they had a wonderful time making that series. Thanks Guy, The world is a better place because of the love you brought to your craft.
Great tribute to a great actor and a friend to all. I got to chat with him as zorro, courtesy of my dad, at a Milwaukee State Fair in the 50s, along with my brother. He was graceful and just as charming as he was on the show. Thanks for sharing this wonderful tribute. He will always be remembered as man who carved a Z with his blade EL ZORRO
Guy Williams fits the ideal charming prince. He's not only stunningly handsome, but was a very rare gem. You can see his Don Diego de La Vega/Zorro personality carry on to his actual being. A man of sincerity. R.I.P. Guy!
I dug the Douglass Fairbanks flick and the Tyrone Powers flick. I geeked out when the Anthony Hopkins / Antonio Bandaras came to the screen for a new generation. I sort of endured Alain Delon. Maybe someday I’ll attempt the George Hamilton version. But when I was growing up, Guy Williams defined Zorro. In the Hopkins / Bandaras movie, Diego is tutoring Alejandro Murrieta how to behave like a caballero. “Remember…‘Charm’,” he tells him. That’s Guy Williams in a nutshell. Charm.
I think his son was so lucky to have had such a handsome real man of a dad who by all accounts was a brilliant dad. My love of him was from the first episode of Lost in Space to the last one. I was 12 at that time and I remember emulating him in every way from the walk to the delivery of lines , recording every episode on my real to real tape recorder I was able to recite almost word for word all the episodes I liked for all the charachters. He was magnificent
@Earthrainbow : In case noone else answered. Guy was in Argentina on his own. He liked it there, she didn't. They divorced in 1985. He did have a girlfriend, Patricia Goodlife . If you read the book "The Man behind the Mask". There was a telephone strike going on so people were not calling each other, by the time they realized something was wrong, he'd died of a brain hemmorage about a week before they found him. Sad really.
Never missed an episode on Wednesday evenings with this Disney program.

I'm from the 90's and I grew up with Zorro, it was my favorite show on tv, every day at 7.30pm.
They stopped broadcasting it 2006 and replaced it with some hyperkinetic show I can't watch for 2 secs.
Still, Zorro (Guy Williams) will never be forgotten.

you know its funny, in fencing i've allways heard "Its not like zorro" but with Guy it IS. I've even seen him (as zorro) do that damn Parry #9.
