The Diesel is MUCH faster than a hero. It also has a very loose hull that allows you to spin on a green wave and makes surfing a lot easier. The edges allow you to carve into eddies like a champ but aren't trippy...which makes for a winning combination. Demo one if you can and see for yourself!
