robbie seay band is incredible along with a new christian band called Red Letter Hymnal. Red Letter Hymnal’s got some incredibly catchy songs on youtube, and itunes too
I like the video, but even better, I like that he's playing a tele with a tan strap, but at 2:09, he's playing an acoustic with a black strap. That's talent!! Can switch guitars in the song and you don't even notice. Then, he finishes the song with a tele.
To me it sounds like he says "we'll not sleep - we'll not sleep - we will rise..." at 3:58 but many have posted his lyrics as "we're not safe - we're not safe - but we will rise.." Anyone hearing it like I am??? Can someone check the lyrics printed with the CD?
He is saying "we're not safe, oh we're not safe, but we will rise, people with love rise"... he is talking about the dangerous world we live in, but Jesus will rapture everyone who love him.
To answer everyone's questions: yes, this is not live audio. We weren't able to record the concert audio, but we needed to put together this video for a promotion we did, so we touched up the album track to make it sound a little more live and used it instead. For the record: Robbie was NOT singing to a track on this song. He sang it live, and he killed, like he always does. The reason he matches up so well to the CD track is that he plays the song to a click track, like most bands do.
This sounds way too much like the studio version of the song. Sorry to say this... but they were just playing along to the cd for this show. The vocals are way too perfect. Everything is way too perfect. I'm not saying he was lip syncing... I think the folks in the live audience were probably hearing the live show.
Now... I could be wrong.. and I'd like to be ... but does anyone else hear what I'm hearing?
thanks =) ya dude I saw him play with shane and shane and his live tone blew me away and then I saw him in this video and was like "woah it's that guy!" haha
Uhhmmmm this isn't live!

I usually don't like such heavily effected vocals, but his sound pretty good. Definitely not a "dry" mix!

GREAT video! Wish there were more HD videos of RSB! Wonder why there studio drummer doesn't play live with them.
nickwelsh 2 years ago
yeah those guys at TWUMC inserted the studio track over the live video...it's an easy thing to do because rsb plays to click
