i dont think apple will go down that path. your asking for power user features which is where android scores a big plus. Also looking at germany and australia going against apple in favour of samsung.... its a beginning of something new... shows that the rest of the market is as innovative as apple and are able to deliver equivalent products at a lower price point.
I've been an iPhone owner since the beginning.. 2 months ago I switched to Android via a Galaxy S2. I have to be completely honest with you...... I'm MUCH happier now.... Widgets, customization, large screen(makes a huge difference especially with gaming), AND a removable battery, which I use a top-notch 1800mAh battery I ordered from Hong Kong(same size as the stock battery).... I am now an Android.
I want bluetooth file transfer and a propper file browser before they even start thinking about improving the UI! That's the problem with some of these "updates", they focus more on how pretty it is than how many features it doesn't have that every other phone does.
The reason? You're supposed to leave them all on, I've noticed that the battery life is negligible anyways leaving them on vs. turning them off and on repeatedly.
I don't think Apple will ever have shortcuts to Wi-Fi in the notification bar. They don't want you to worry about that. And the majority of the users don't. Apple is good with Wi-Fi since it turns off when your not using the phone. But the only way I think they would do this is like you said through Siri.
@TheAppleMicrosoft was always there, personal hotspot comes as part of the tmobile iPhone contact in the UK, with other carriers you have to get it separately as a paid option
@TheAppleMicrosoft In the United States, if you have a Personal Hotspot plan, and you set it all up, that will show up. On unlocked iPhones (in the US or anywhere else), enter a valid APN for your personal hotspot plan and it will show up. On UK iPhones, they just show up
@TheAppleMicrosoft You have to be on the new contract to be able to get the personal hotspot feature. I have the same problem as I'm still on the old contract so I can't use the personal hotspot feature. Hope this helps. :)
its not long -_- maybe for you fat people

I think theyIf you download the app Quickpick you can get them in notification center and it doesn't open another tab in Safari.
But yes, I still agree that Apple needs to include this by default.

Isn't Apple getting its knuckles slapped by Android for that drop down menu ?
