Mudaddi was against the creation of Pakistan...Only the British agent Jinnah accepted creation of Pakistan in the name of Islam by dividing Muslims into pieces. Muddadi Jamat i Islami was taken over by the ISI/MI in the 70's, if one was to contact his heirs they would confrim this and state that Mudaddi went further to say stay away from JI and it mullahs. Today ISI under the umbrella uses JI and JUI and its likes for public opinion, protests and terrorism against its neighbors.
Jinnah himself was an Ismaili (Shia) Muslim, and now his own community isn't even safe in Pakistan anymore. So whatever his creation of Pakistan did for Muslims, he's certainly wrecked the future of his own sect, who will be condemned to live away from the Pakistan he created
I read the book some time back. Great book. I think I have a more firm understanding of the situation in Pakistan idea idea of Pakistan which is really a scam.
Only an erudite mind of M.J Akbar can pinpoint the inherent weaknesses of Faith based state harking back to medieval times.
