  • *gasp* They stole the Soul Train Dance Line! Blasphemy! LOL!!!!

  • Soul Train had 2 separate dance lines. Pay attention.

  • I pay attention very well, although it's sort of hard when you have a job and don't have time to read every response to this video...

I was suggesting, and I guess you weren't paying attention to my joke, that this show stole the Dance Line made famous by Soul Train.

It was tongue-in-cheek, hence the LOL at the end of my comment.

  • LMAAAAAOFFF men and women poppin...lol

  • Das how it used to go down!!

  • Anyone knows the girls name at 35 seconds?

  • If somebody say AIIGHT GIRL one more time LOL

  • Child, Bye! LMAO!

  • Oh hell yes..this was my song. In fact, I got it on a CD in my SUV right now. I got it when I came home to Detroit last year at a record shop on Grand Blvd and Greenfield I think it was.

That was my girl at 3:03..and was that Cheryl at the end?

  • Awesome!! This brings back sooooo many memories. The music. The dance steps. Fun times. Fun times.

  • Wheres the DEM BOYS???

  • Detroit was wild!!!!

  • Yeah, this song took off like a shot in 1988 here in the D---you literally could not listen to a radio station or go to a club without hearing this song blasting through the speakers. Funny thing,though--if you listen to the lyrics, the artist could have come out with the same tune today and not have to change a word---because these ARE the real bad times as of 2008--what with all the layoffs, downsizing, disappearing jobs, homeless rate close to going up,etc.

  • That's why the rap version is better. History truly repeats itself.

  • This song hit the D in 82 and never went out of style.

  • lol

  • i wish you had more videos on the last girl

  • they can't stand it! they can't staaand it! I forgot about this record...some Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis shit.

the first guy dancing with the sky blue tie murders it.

  • this beat is hot

  • Sorry was on someone elses account. But that my mom at the end. YEA!!!

  • Aww! Yea Thats my mom at the end and she still look good!

  • I use to watch this show as a kid on channel 38. It was staticky as hell but I still manage to watch it. There was always this one guy with a cape. O_o

  • That song was a Detroit staple. I liked the rap/vocal version better. Have a 12" version that has the groove practically worn off from being "scratched" at the same point continuously (g).

  • What in the world was wrong with that girl at 1:54??

    LOL...too funny

Those were the days when could be yourself, and you weren't required to FRONT like you're HARD when you were in the midst of guys.

  • Her name is Denise. We were in this ghetto ass play back in the day called "Wicked Ways" that was produced by Mike Matthews and WGPR. I was a little kid then, but I remember she was always nice to me. That was really cool to see this video after all these years.

  • OMG!! Those were the days!! I just remember The Electrifying Mojo playing the heck out of this song on his show back in the day. Thanks for posting this joint!!

  • this was our Soul Train! You either danced on the Scene or New Dance Show or wanted to back in the day!

  • they are fabulous,honey!!!

    Ooo-KAaaaaY!!!!

    FaBuLoUs,HoNeY!!!!!!!

  • what is the name of the song on this clip

  • i think the name is bad times

  • Artist: Captain Rapp

Song Title: Bad Times (I Can't Stand It)

  • Whoa, white stockings and black shoes has never been in style. I still love the clip!!!

  • lmao!!!!! omg!!!! this is funny!!! I used to watch this show all the time. Probably the only white girl that did.

  • LMAO!!! Nope u were not alone, I did too!!(Detroit white girl who LOVED this show). I am so happy to have found these. THANK U for letting us all relive the memories of our youth. Now if only i see the ones with the count i'll be all set!

  • It's funny because I remember watching the show and remember the dancers by name. :)

  • that guy in the beginning had like 25 cups of coffee before he went on.

  • i can no say it enuff, i dont care who you are "I LOVE LIVING IN DETROIT"

  • In Detroit the Summer didn't start until this song came on Detroit.

  • This makes me so proud of my city. One of the dancers even did the "male dancer freaky finger point."

  • What song is that??

  • Captain Rapp - Bad Times

  • Luv the clothes, Luv the booty!

  • Detroit TV classic.

  • New Dance Show and The Scene back in the day...man do I miss those shows!

  • Man, I haven't heard this song since the "Catch One" days!

  • BAD TIMES! :) classic... the dancers are getting it. lol.
