@dougieisbamf theres ready no best motor for this car it all on your point of view some guys will say the sr20det motors are the best some say the ka24de and some say the RB motors are the best I like the sr20det better do to the after market support and price the sr20det it is also a straight forward swap not hard to do at all

@sr20det85 true that, i wish i would have went the sr way, i went the rb20det way, yea it was cheaper at first, but the after, market parts killed me! but its been done for awile it its quite then head turning daily driver.

depends on what you plan for the car if you want a good drift car the SR is pretty much the best way to go

drag id go KA iron block bigger displacemnt

and RB if you want to reach some crazy horsepower but deffintely gonna need to have deep pockets

@dougieisbamf lol, wa u mean by these cars..? dougie is ryt but it all bout the point of view. the power an purpose of the car ur building and money. A properly worked SR could push 500 or 1000hp but so could a RB. But y not have the best of both worlds an jam in a VQ. i <3 Nissan.

nice build... i currently have my 89 s13 completely stripped and removed the vg30de that someone decided to throw together like shit... slightly discouraging seeing the 240 torn apart =[ but having a hard time deciding on the rb25 swap or sr20 are you happy with the sr20?

@ttomlin85 am happy with it win it runs right if I could do it all again I would do a LT v8 ( which I have been looking at doing) or do ka24det swap or rb25det not another SR its not worth the headache sometimes I would do the rb25det swap if you have the money that's why I went with the SR its a little cheaper

@ttomlin85 i feel your pain man, but its like a guy i know told me, its gotta get ugly as hell before it looks and runs good. also, ive heard great things about the rb25/26. just dont do an rb20 whatever you do. my cuzn did and had lots of problems, mechanically and lack of aftermarket support. ive got an sr20 in mine and the aftermarket support is great, its very versatile, but im still midway through the build so i couldnt tell you about how it operates, good luck!!

@ghettobraden i have new carpet to go in the car i have yet to put it in my car do to time i had to put the hood pins in do to having a broken hood latch i have a new hood to put on to i have been trying to find a hood latch thats not rusted out or missing any springs thats another thing i have on the list of stuff to do

@KScharba i fround a 240sx that was up for sale the body was junk the interior was in good shape so i got the car parted it out of eveything i didnt need and used the rest of it on my car that is where i got my dash from if you cant find one i know they sale fiberglass covers for the s13 dash not sure on how much they cost

@sirshepalot I got my motor off ebay that's the best place to get them don't get one that has been pulled already try to get a front clip win I got my motor I was missing a lot stuff off it even though they said it was a a complete motor swap plus you sometimes you get some extra stuff like front calipers witch are a upgrade on the 240 you can also sell a lot of the right hand drive stuff

@sr20det85 hmmm im going to finish my 94 4x4 d21 first then a blazer this summer then next summer 240sx but did you have a hard time wiring it and did you reuse your a/c cuz in nebraska it gets hottt

@sirshepalot some of the wiring was a big pain because there was nothing to go off of I used repair manual for a lot of the wiring as far as the a/c gos no I don't like a/c I roll the windows down and hit the highway LOL plus to use the a/c on the SR you have to have a part made on the high-pressure side of the a/c to use the ka a/c lines a buddy of mine went through all of that crap trying to find someone who could make the part he found someone to make it and was glad he did

Engine bay is glorious.... but you half a*&ed the paint, here in fl we call that monster truck status, drop it a few inches at least and itl be a clean ass 240.

@blackychan195 i found the car in a junk yard with a clean title told a friend about it he got the car before i could i had the sr motor he was going to buy the motor off me and i was going to help him with the swap will he sold it to one of his friends he was going to do a rb swap and make it a full drift car he had the car for about for like 3 or 4 years and did nothing with it but stripped it i got the car off him sitting on blocks and the video tells the rest of the story
