rape is one of the most and imo might even be the most cowardly act that can be commited. the native americans plight was and still is horrible. to the people who ignore or dont care about the native americans plight and especially those that revel in it all i can say is i hope one day you get the suffering u deserve and answer for your crimes.

I have always wondered why the issues concerning Native Americans are often buried by black/latino issues. Those groups have their complaints, but Native Americans in the US are living in far, far worse conditions. Higher alcoholism, rape, suicide, high school dropout rates. If you watch the mainstream news you wouldn't even know a Native American exists.

Why do you find that hard to believe? It has happened here in Alaska and because there is no reservation system, it is covered more extensiveley in the news. She says that 86% of the rapes are by non-natives. That does not mean they are all by white men. The point is that there is no way for the Natives to enforce justice in their own land despite the fact that they are suppoosedly "soveriegn nations." That is sickening.

My suggestion is to provide the anti-rape device that recently was awarded a patent. Certainly the native-American tribes can provide these devices to at least a hundred thousand of these women. And the casino's that dominate the landscape of this country can afford to sponsor these items.
