  • Literally stopped to load right as the front of the car hit the bump or whatever...

  • Willamette Speedway is a third mile. I've noticed a lot of cars lifting their front left tire is there any benefit to this?

  • this track sucks lol its like an 1/8 mile

  • @doublekill470 You are an idiot. It is three tenths. It is the top track in the pacific northwest for dirt late models, and one of the top tracks on the west coast.

  • omg is the car ok???

  • @mrgokart73 i think it just got its feelings hurt but its ok

  • I really dislike the rear suspensions on dirt cars now days, I can't believe they can even keep a driveline in them. I'd make them fun on leaf springs and slide like they used to when they were fun to watch. Nowdays it looks like they're real hard to make consistant laps in. A real good driver I know ran Mod for awhile and said they were a fuckin bear to drive. I've said I'd just put a strut on the left and forget it, all that jumpin up and down is a waste, they're runnin solid topped out anyway

  • Dirts for racing asphalts for gettin there!

  • @MRGRAPEBOOK your average late model cost around 5000 to6000 dollars

  • @jjjallen27 you might want to add another "0" to that. The engines can cost more then $30k

  • how much does a late modle cost? (i dont want to buy one, im just wondering)

  • @MrGrapebook well the small motor cost about $30k and the big motor cost about $50k the body is pretty cheap about $800 to $1000 frame is about $5000

  • what do you think is going to happen carring the left front is useless any way yea car might handle better but! My thought is it produces too much stress on the right front suspension. done the same thing with my emod.

  • dude you got that car set up way wrong it shouldnt be hiking up the left side of the car like that

  • @jakeraces42 thats not a new chassis, maybe if it was a 2011 rocket chassis or a bloomquist chassis then yea theres no need for the car to lift like that, but i would say that guy is driving a somewhat older chassis and that is how those cars were supposed to get around corners

  • Sucks for that guy I'm making a move up from champ karts to late models this year

  • they should race these at daytona, that would be awesome

  • why does the frame lift up on a corner?

  • santa maira

    \

  • wut happen to make u flip ur car like tht

  • Looks like that J-Bar was exaggerated putting to much weight transfer on that right front.. AKA , the right front catching too much hell.. Why even run the front left ??

  • I hate tracks with shit in the infield.

  • what track is that?

  • Willamette Speedway in Lebanon Oregon

  • @kidcadwell thanks

  • that looked like fun

  • What the hell happen??? did the right front shock break??? or did the tire snap off and go under the chasi?

  • Upper Ball Joint broke, then the tire came under the car springboarding it into the air. Crazy Stuff

  • i was gonna say looked like a ball joint. poor car..

  • yeah poor car is right :)

  • yeappers. i would have cried if that was my car.. lol

  • @kidcadwell

    did it get fixed?

  • weak sauce

  • nice and soft flip, hes ok yeah?

  • Yeah OK just a little sore

  • @kidcadwell good

  • check the related vids, charlotte flip the car turns sideways and then bites it don't matter if something broke or not you do that on a dirt track theres a damn good chance of a good barrel roll

  • my dad raced late models for 20 years but he quit and now im racing micro sprint then im goin into late model

  • Absolutely the RF broke. At :22 the front end is up in the air and the tire is under the car.

Hit the cushion, that's funny dude!

  • warrior chassis FTW!!!

  • my dad used to race late model and flip his car he now races modificed and im racing a street stock next year

  • dam. He was good too.

  • where was this at

  • looks like the bat mobil :p

  • my grampa used to race cars similat to that he fliped twice end over end three times side to side what caused it he lost a back tire the side hit the ground then lost it from there

  • RF upper A-arm or balljoint broke, causing the RF tire to lay on the track and car basically ran over it.

  • to everyone that has blamed it on the setup or... not blaming it on the car at all-ur completly wrong. this has nothing to do with the suspension or an inexistant cushion. either the lugs were loose and the left front tire fell off, or the something in the spindle or control arms broke. I'd say the latter is more likely as u can c the brake line hold the wheel as the car rolls. Either way though, the tire came off, went under the car, dug in, and rolled it.

  • all of u r blaming this on the car. some of it could have been the car, but if u watch close enough he jumps the cushion resulting in him flipping

  • He should probably work on his turns before heats and races. Thats embarassing.

  • Yeah didn;t feel good that is for sure :)

  • where is this? i like how you can see all the way around the track from the infield, how big in the track 1/5 mile or so?

  • Willamette Speedway in Lebanon Oregon. Track is a 1/3 mile track. One of the few remaining tracks where you pit in the infield. Track was very tacky that night, we normally run slick there.

  • looks like the left front is rarely on the ground, like it's three wheelin, so the whole weight of the car is workin on the right front especially in the apex of the turn , so if there was already damage it wouldn't take much to finnish it off ( The upper ball joint)

  • ...

  • ...

  • I knew when I saw the car first turn that it would flip. Thats how they set them up nowadays. Where the shocks are real bouncy I guess is how you describe it so you can slam it in to a corner and stand on the brakes and turn it quick. It works good till it digs in like that one.

  • actually your far off. they dont stomp the breaks they smoothly apply them before the turn as they turn the car the momentum compresses the right rear spring and the rearend pivots underneath with the torque they produce it lifts the left front up if they use the right shock package they cna keep the tire in contact but they are not bouncy setups it is using momentum to turn the rearend underneath the chassis doesnt mean anything in regards to flipping this car broke th efront end and it flipped

  • @supercomet32 picking the left front off the ground requires alot more than just shocks. the car either has to be a 4 link rear suspension or a 3 link with a swingarm. you cant just put shocks on a dirt car and expect it to pull the left front off the ground. and as for the braking that varies from driver to driver. i never touched the brakes in my modified and i know some people that jab the brakes so its all about what the driver is the most comfortable doing

  • @supercomet32 you dont have a clue shut up.

  • wow its fuckin crazy how that just happens out of nowhere

  • he waz back out there a few weeks later

  • what you thiink when it went over

  • um, still part of the a-arm right?...Either way, hope he was ok....

  • Yeah technically.....I wish it was the a-arm it self though cause taht wouldn;t have happened. Yeah I am OK very fortunate

  • Actually it was the upper ball joint that broke, completely ripped out of it's socket, don't know how but that is what happened. We have sent the part back to the manufacturer to see wht they think...... Crazy stuff!!

  • What track was this?

  • Willamette Speedway in Lebanon, OR

  • Do you ever race anywhere else?

  • Looked like an upper a-arm broke when he hit a rut... and the rest is trashed :D

  • That Was Awesome

  • I am such a tomboy and I love to ride in and drive late models at my local track

  • Was worried bout ya Cadwell, Glad you were'nt hurt too badly. Will I be able to see you racing on the track anytime soon?? Take Care of Hodges for me this weekend k??

    ~Denise~ Hodges sister ;)

  • Thanks....We'll See I might race a few times this year not exactly sure yet. Want to make sure all muscles are healed before I go out again.

Will keep an eye on Rick tonight :)

  • i like at the end you can here ooooooooo fu**lol

  • Yeah our crew guy Billy was filming he added a little commentary :)

  • Holy f*** shit your a lucky bastard!
