I lot of people say the ipad is a toy, but I beg to differ. Since I had the pad, I have downloaded my text book, create my homework in iworks and send them to my instructors, yes using my iPad. I have not touch my laptop in two weeks. I think what it boils down to, if you just want to play games, then the ipad is just a toy, but you use it for school purposes, it takes on a whole different meaning

Ipad will be great only if it have webcam or camera. I so disappointed by not have camera. Everything is great. Beside we can carry around easily.

I'm still not sure if I'll be getting an iPad though.  I have a laptop and an iPhone. I can accomplish pretty much all I can with them, but I might be wrong.

If you have like a smartphone and a laptop I dont see any use for this device. Although it may be useful for larger companies and such.

@jaxxarn My company is going to buy one as soon as it comes out, we're going to use it to show any design or media that we create for clients. It's a great way to show it and also works great to manage easy tasks and monitor server availability. I can see unlimited possibilities. I do think this can be done with your iPhone and MacBook, but I just find it sweeter to show design and media on an iPad!

i throughout my pc a long time ago besides wut would be the point of all that hassel it would be better if the ipad had a camera on it, but they'll probably add a camera to it on the next generation just lik they did with the ipod

"oh wow" the flipping functions aren't really new, they are all in the ipod touch.. i don't really see anything good about this new ipad thing expect that you can watch 720p movies and its ... bigger.

@xmenfan5 it also works with digital books and such. There are devices just for reading books and this is a good option for that because you get a hell of a lot more!
