...yes the riff is similar to Deep Purple, but thats about it.

truth is Brian and Mick were originally in a band called Wainright's Gentlemen', which broke up and Purple and Sweet were formed...so naturally there are similarities.

even though I am a sweet fan, it looks like Woman from Tokyo was recorded in July 1972, so if this was made in 1977 I would say that the opposite is true

With songs with the length from " Windy city" one can do already quite well to himself a picture of the skill of a band. And Sweet offered here clearly the proof that they did not need to hide behind other rock bands completely certainly. Magnificent riffs - the prelude of Andy is a dream!! -, propelling bass, hammer-hard drums and about that Brians great song, do this song one of the strongest rockers the Sweet ever did!! Top class!!! Thanks a lot for postin' this awesome rocker!!!
