  • She is very lovely lady and she can really sing,

  • If you had the album, could you tell me if "Welcome, Welcome Home" is by Burt Bacharach and Hal David?

  • @dogkelp No it isn't.

  • Always got a kick out of her off-mike talking during the instrumental break in the middle of "My Little Corner Of The World". I think only the Beach Boys were more well-known for releasing tunes with this happening.

  • @Rotis59 I'm not aware of that.

  • @GeoSilverAway Pay close attention to the instrumental break of this song and you can hear in 2 separate moments Anita both talking and either laughing or clearing her throat in the background! -

  • Marie Osmond had hits with 2 of Anita's original versions.

  • 1st. heard this song when I was 6...and immediately LOVED it...still enjoy it today like I did back then...

    thanks for sharing...

  • What a great collection of songs! Especially like the rich, lush arrangement of #3 ... one of the best i've ever heard. Thanks for posting these gems ... and the link to the Battle Hymn posting is a classic! It's a shame we can't get these re-mastered and re-released ... worth more than what is passed off for music today.

  • my dad would really like to hear battle hymn of the republic. would someone please put it on you tube?

  • I'll do that.

  • @drllrbabe ITS IN HERE NOW

  • BEAUTIFUL-she has the saddest voice ever-I'm trying to fing her rendition of 'the battle hymn of the republic''.

THANK YOU FOR POSTING (lol my dad 80y.o. says thanks too)

  • Battle Hymn was on her LP "Mine Eyes Have Seen the Glory". Can you use that? I found it recently but don't know what I'll do about posting. Maybe depends on requests. I like America the Beautiful more.

  • Her America the Beautiful can be heard at imeem(com).

  • Wow!!! Anita Bryant had one of the most amazing and beautiful voices back in the 50s & 60s. It's a pity that there are so few and or no cds available with all of her "classic" recordings that were on the Carlton & Columbia lables from those eras. All of these 4 songs are great and I agree that "Little Things Mean a Lot" is a totally tremendous version & one of the best! She was a truely talented lady.

  • she is such a talented woman

  • I have a soft spot for Anita and her music. She did more good than bad for a lot of people.

    :-)

  • This is definitely one of the most EXQUISITE LOVE SONG I've ever heard! It is very moving and it touches my soul everytime I listen to it. Thanks, Ed.

  • I agree strongly, but I'm thinking of Little Things Mean a Lot. You may mean Corner Of World.

  • thank you for putting together all these beautiful songs, especially "little things mean a lot."

  • Anita Bryant, Has one of the most beautiful voices ever heard. She succeeded against all odds.

    Thanks for posting these songs.

  • Being a runnerup in Miss America helps the odds. (like winning Idol)
