  • i love this video, this makes me want to learn judo

  • esta muy bueno para aprender

  • I do BJJ and I have mad respect for Judo.

  • What is the name of the music?????

  • @muchachoff hey try this website go to vidtomp3.com and just copy the link of this video and paste it, it will download this song to mp3. i have this song on my phone and ipod. i never get tire of listening

  • Why is everyone out to prove something? Go find a box in a park to stand on and spout that nonsense. We are all one.

  • I miss taking Judo so much! I stopped at only my green belt, I really want to go back and start up again!

  • This video is brilliant. One of my favorite videos on youtube.

  • Name of song is Enseika (Kyodai-judobu-enseika)

  • I myself practice Judo and I believe it is an amazing art, but I also wrestle. Try doing any of these throws against a solid wrestler, and they will not work. I know because I have tried..I don't mean to troll btw.

  • @TheKoolio123 ya i mean these moves barely work on a solid judo guy. all depnds on the person

  • @TheKoolio123 You might want to polish up your judo a bit if these moves aren't even working on wrestlers for you. Judoka have a stronger standing game than wrestlers do.

  • 69 people were watching this on mute, listening to Justin Bieber.

  • judo was influnced by Kalari, Varma Adi, Varma Kalai, a little bit of Kuttu Varisai and Vajra Mushti. especially Kalari, Varma Kalai and Varma Adi, because the pressure points were required to find out where to hold a person effectively and how to use their power against them. Kalari is where they put it all together and taught the combinations, and how to proceed after you are on the ground.

  • @uberkarthik

"judo was influenced by Kalari" are you joking?!

"ALL OF THIS ORIGINATED FROM INDIA!!" Are one of these Vedic supremacy believers?!Cant you imagine that a non-vedic folk is able to develop am MA self-contained.

  • @Gieszkanne sorry, but it is proven with facts, while your words mean nothing, and this isnt based only on vedic things...

  • @uberkarthik

Vedic scriptures can't prove anything what is developed afterwards. You are totally illogical. Wrestling and Fighting is in all cultures like eating.

  • @Gieszkanne i never said "vedic" anything...(you brought up the vedic part) I talked about REAL martial arts relating BEFORE this, and which are the roots of these. The martial arts i was talking about are NOT THE SAME EXACT ONES AS JUDO, BUT INFLUENCED IT. It is very true that people faught, but they fought much like those teens today who act all tough, but fight worse than girls.

  • Now, for the pressure points section. This was done in India, before others, via the martial arts by the names of Varma Kalai, Varma Adi and Kuttu Varisai. All of these techniques included hitting ALL of the pressure points of the body. This was influenced by Siddhas (monks), for medicine, but later on, was used in fighting and stuff like that. again, these were bfore any other martial arts

  • Now, for the weapons part: SIlambam and Kalari are the oldest. Silambam was the first martial art to use the weapons, like long staff, aka Bo, which was also invented in India.

  • READ FROM MY LAST COMMENT ALL THE WAY UP. continuation: The monks learned from that book, whatever they could, which was only about 50% because Pramati could not totally translate the whole meaning of the book. The, the monks misused the power of the techniques in that book and created Kung-Fu, arguably, the oldest martial art, AFTER the indian Martial arts.

  • continuation:so, he gave them the YIJIN JING. Then, when he died, they monks could not be taught, so they had to go translate the book he wrote because it was written in Tamil. a guy traveled all the way to the Sìchuān province and found a tamilian by the name of Pramati. There, Pramati said that the words written by damo were extraordinally deep and not translatable because of all the fine details it contained, so he translated what he could, even though there was wayyyy more to be translated.

  • (continuation) Bodhidarma, better known as amo, traveled to China because he got a vision to travel there. There, he eventually reached the Shaolin temple, in the Henan Province, but was not allowed to enter for 9 years. Then, he went in a cave and wrote 2 books, the YIJIN JING, and another one, which he gave to one of his disciples, and was not found again. and, he introduced tea to them. He wanted to teach them Zen Buddhism, but wanted them to be fit enough for the long hours of meditation

  • guys. lets settle this right here. it doesnt matter what came before, except for 3 things. ALL OF THIS ORIGINATED FROM INDIA!!!!!(woot for indian cuz i am one, too :D) in the form of Kalaripayut, Silambam, Kuttu Varasai, Varma Ati and Varma Kalai. This is all from the Siddha time periods during or before the 3rd AD, Pallava Dynasty( and all fo these might be older because only RECORDS of the martial arts being practiced were discovered.) Bodhidarma is Tamilian(just like me), which is Indian

  • it's the fighter not the style

  • Best Judo video ever seen!

  • after the korean warriors became leader of manjuria, they made dynasty called 金, 後金, 淸. they had identity as korean although living in china. they called korea parents country. family name of royal family of 淸 dynasty is 金[kim] which is most common family name in korea. this history is written in chinese history book, not in korean history book.

  • I didnt deny karate is influenced by kanfu.I mere said that origin of ryukyukarate has several hypothes and roots(include kanfu),and it is not confirmed.

A few pictures with only men are facing, and word taekkyeon in a few book(insubstantial),dance or playgame called taekkyeon, these cannot be evidence of your pretense at other than your country.

Lastly,Korean made 後金?I have forgotten that not only korean cultures but also Korean history itself is full of delusion.

  • korean warriors became leader of manjurian[女真] and made 金 dynasty and made 淸 dynasty. taekwondo is modern korean martial art. there are only two traditional korean martial art using bare hands, taekkyeon and ssireum. pictures of taekkyeon and ssireum drawn about 2 hundreds ago and pictures of taekkyeon and ssireum drawn about 1700 years ago is almost same. the picture is taekkyeon because it is in korean tomb. if you still deny karate came from kungfu, you can be true cultural robber.

  • How'id taekkyeon became jujutsu go?

    Picture of taekkyeon?Is it 安岳三号墳?

Its mere drawn facing mans.If it was taekkyeon, there were taekkyeon all over the world. Its mere strained interpretation.

Korean say origin of judo, kendo, samurai, ninja, sado, sakura, kabuki,…is korea. That's enough.I have not seen single reliable material support these claim, but have seen even the korean professor say stupid lie.

Whatever,Korean warriors made 淸?.Maybe you will say女真is Korean, represents self-serving ideology.

  • chinese history book said korean warriors made dynasty called 金, 淸 in china. 淸 dynasty held go-ti contest. shuai jiao is modern name of go-ti. probably go-ti contest came from 手搏[taekkyeon] contest of korea because 淸 dynasty rulers who held go-ti contest were koreans. taekkyeon was written about 2 hundreds years ago. but there is picture of taekkyeon drawn 1700 years ago. ancient korean history is translation of chinese character. the history book is somewhere in korea in library.

  • I love Judo but I think the martial art that really comes out looking the most fluid and interesting on film is Kung Fu. I love Kung Fu movies and that’s why I enjoyed the new doc “Films of Fury”. It had a bunch of great action sequences and movie clips! bitly .com/uBGPir

  • Legal a tecnica de judo golpes precisos

  • whats the throw called in 1:15? any one knows

  • @EdwinjoseFeliz i think is some sort of kata guruma

  • inspirational xD

  • If you know judo and BJJ....

    Ur a human weapon

  • @Dannyboy3125 you dont have to... newaza(judo) is all you will need in terms of grappling...

  • Judo ''Gently way'', eh, what about throwing the person right down into concrete? That's not so gently!

Don't misunderstand me, I like Judo, it's a great martial art.

  • ;D

  • Be a legend: if you know the name of the track then let us know

  • @jericho696969 I´ll tell you something buddy i have this song on my ipod nano and my cellphone. Don´t know the name but you can copy the link and paste it on vidtomp3.com and it will download only the mp3 of the video...and guess what? you have this amazing song playing in any device. try it, i did it and now i´m enjoying it.

  • it's really a shame they took out leg grabbing. It sucks for us smaller guys who just want to face larger guys.

  • @ChoZenHwan

    Dudddudududude.

OUCHI OSOTO KOUCHI all the gari's bruh! If those fail shoot in for the legs after!

  • @ChoZenHwan Yeah, the new judo olympic/IJF rules are fucking retarded. That doesn't mean judo, is, though. Just keep on practicing all of judo, including the leg grabs and such, and go to freestyle judo tournaments if you can. The IJF rules are ridiculous, but judo itself is still amazing! =)

  • I am training karate for 3,5 year but I love this video and watching judo :D

  • @XEROX161991 Karate and Judo make an excellent combination! Back in the old-school days almost all Karateka were also blackbelts in Judo. :)

  • @44excalibur I agree, but nowdays it's hard to have time for training one martial art, two are almost impossible :(

  • @XEROX161991 It's difficult, not impossible. Mixed martial artists do it, but they commit themsleves to a curriculum determined more by the MMA community than individual preference. However, many martial arts schools these days teach more than one style. I knew of a school that taught both Goju Ryu Karate and Kodokan Judo. But keep up your training, and don't give up on possibly learning Judo, and perhaps another style one day to supplement your Karate to make you even more well-balanced. :)

  • what 's the song called :X:X:X ?

  • taekyeon and ssireum is korean martial arts. chinese characters was popular in the past. 手搏 is chinese name of taekyeon. 角抵 is chinese name of ssireum. 手搏 and 角抵 was written in history book instead of taekyeon and ssireum. taekyeon was written in 1790 as korean characters. 手搏 was written before 1790. that karate came from kungfu is official karate history most karate masters believe. name of chinese who introduced kungfu to japan is written in japanese history book.

  • @spiritofmuye My previous comment is deleted.Make this the last time.

You cant setup only one specific name of the krean book till the last.

And If you say"手搏became柔術",you would be laughed by Chinese and Japanese.

You lump some concepts together as a word taekkyon. This is the cherry picking theory.

I assert that at least existing taekkyun is NOT same as手搏written in史記.

You are influenced by uncertain info. You must search records yourself. Its easy if you can read chinese(character).

  • @kijima445 I thought that the okinawan martial art of Te (if i remember correctly), was influenced by chinese Kung Fu, then changed to Karate when they went under Japanese control. If so, then it didnt come from Kung Fu, it was changed by it. Not so? Just askin?

  • @VermillionAlchemist Te is okinawan old martial arts.

Te(手)stands for hands or collective term of martial arts.

As far as I know, use of te in battle was recored in 16thC.

And karate(唐手chinese te)was used to distinguish between original te and te influenced by chainese martial arts.

It is generally said that te and唐手and other martial arts have been integrated to modern karate(空手te of bare hands) at around early 20thC.

But there are many schools anciently, the details are unclear.

  • if you do not believe that karate came from kungfu, you will not believe any history book. many korean who are interested in traditional korean martial arts know that taekkyun became jujitsu. there is no great discovery. jujitsu and taekkyun has similarity but they are very different because jujitsu has been developed by japanese more than one thousand years. that's why jujitsu is not korean martial arts.

  • @spiritofmuye That doesn't tell me anything. At wiki,"the earliest existing written source mentioning Taekkyeon is the Manmulmo 1790".Its too new to say something to origin of Jujutsu. After brief cheking, there is no other decent records,no school, until recently. Its the common practice that korean take advantage of lack of records to claim delusion.Korean have many previous convictions like kendo(kumdo).Dont say irresponsible things even though there's no evidence.

  • Estaa Muyy Buenoo Estee Videoo Mee Daa Gustoo :B

  • jujitsu came from taekkyun which is korean martial arts. but jujitsu is japanese martial arts because jujitsu has been developed by japanese in japan more than one thousand years. judo and aikido developed by japanese from jujitsu are also japanese martial arts. jujitsu, judo and aikido are not korean martial arts.

  • @spiritofmuye

The South Korean is telling a lie again.

    What is the taekkyun?

    Is there reliable evidence?

Do not say the thing from the delusion.

To friends in the world, this is the typical South Korean, cultural robber.

    watch?v=9MaTKGpZ1Ow&feature=feedlik

  • @kijima445 karate came from kungfu. kungfu came from indian yoga. judo and aikido came from jujitsu. taekwondo came from karate and taekkyun. jujitsu came from taekkyun. korean history book says that taekkyun was introduced to japan and taekkyun became jujitsu in japan. korean history book also says that taekkyun was introduced to china. but taekkyun disappeared later in china.

  • @spiritofmuye Origin of karate is not proved yet. I know that there is the hypothesis karate is influenced by kan-fu through okinawan martial arts. And now, "taekkyun became jujitsu " What century was the Korean history book wrriten? What is the name of book? What text was written in? I never heard anything like that. If it is not false document or extended interpretation ,the book were great discovery. You should upload the book on youtube.
  • @kijima445

all they know r kiks & punches

not the art of grappling , the magic of flexibility >>

  • @kijima445

Are you retarded ? Of course there is Taekkyun ! it is ancient traditional Korean martial art purely developed in Joseon. they used to use it in ancient battles. What illusion ? lol If you don't know don't speak. Please don't tell me the Koreans bite that off the Japanese, Taekkyun was a predecessor form of Taekwondo.

  • @bigfatdick5000 I just to correct the other Korean lie that taekkyun became jujutsu.

As far as I then examined, there is no reliable records or schools of taekkyun as ancient martial arts.

I'm no longer interested in taekkyun. It seems that most of its content is what made recently, with only convenient name from history book.

In passing,I found then Choi Hong Hi said “ Taekwondo is derived from karate”.

  • @kijima445 korean history book called ancient korean history said that 手搏 is introduced to japan and china and 手搏 became 柔術[jujitsu] in japan. other korean history book called jaemulbo said that 手搏 is taekkyeon. that's why that taekkyeon became jujitsu can be said. there is chinese book which said that chinese shuai jiao became jujitsu. if what the chinese book said is true, there would be two types of jujitsu in japan in past. or chinese shuai jiao is 手搏 introduced from korea.

  • @spiritofmuye I read才物譜(jaemulbo),said手搏爲卞、角力爲武、若今之托肩~.

This book is not written anything about the details.

And 手搏and角力is the words wrriten in chinese classic 史記.Words used in 史記spreaded to many East asia countries that accepted Chinese character,of course korea and japan.

手搏is introduced to japan and china? Was the book wrriten in B.C?

What is the name of "korean history book said 手搏is introduced~"?

It must be wrriten in chinese character. Please present the text, for we can read it.

  • Very interesting visual art form of an art. Shows techniques without staying in a certain angle or talking.

  • é assim que um judoca deveria ser não lutar pela fama por dinhero etc e sim pelo amor ao judo pelo amor ao jigoro kano que fez esse esporte pra ser conhessido como pessoa humildes educadas e muito mas

  • of course AISIANS.

  • I don't like to smack talk but I find gracie BJJ artists very disingenuous. I mean in one video, one of the founders was smack talking about how BJJ is the ultimate defense system and showing himself beating the crap out of supposed practioners of judo, hapkido, karate ect. I take hapkido and aikido and I know for a fact that the supposed hapkido practioner he was up against using was tae kwon do, not hapkido or any of the other martial arts the bjj said the others were doing. Sigh more MMA lies

  • @Tneisnart In his video at a Judo tournament, it showed him in ONE match. There were people at that tournament who said he got smoked in his other two matches. Not to mention when the Gracies didnt have the option of picking there fights, they didnt quite do as well.

  • i do judo and the other day my cousion was hitting me in the balls so i got him in a headlock pulled his head back and sweeped his leg and he landed on the concrate floor mwhahah

  • iam going to go to judo classes and i am 12 any tips plz

  • @kanedonny Just make sure it is a good dojo and it's about the judo and not cash. Listen to the instructors and make sure you fall properly. Injuries will happen as is true with any combat art but you will minimize the number and severity by falling correctly in judo. If you have a chance learn to execute the throws without a gi as well because not everyone has clothing to grab in a street fight.

  • I'm not a Judo practitioner, but the efficiency and effectiveness of the "art" is indisputable. For someone who practices another art, but a student of martial systems, Judo is truly practical.

  • @judoboy1962 why is your name "judoboy1962" if you don't practice Judo?

  • @Judokkaa- I was and still am fascinated by Judo, but not certain if I'm too old to learn it (I'm 46 years young). I practice the Filipino martial art system of Kali for 16 years which do have empty hand components. However I just respect Judo so much along with the Chinese art of Wing Chun.

  • @judoboy1962 46 isn't that old, I know guys in their 60's and 70's still doing it. As long as you can find a decent club with decent guys you can work at your own pace without a doubt. There's even a division for guys over 35 to compete if they wish.

  • @Judokkaa thx. I am fortunate that I live 5 mins away from the San Francisco Judo Institute and 20 mins from Cahill Judo academy. I might just give it a shot. Thx for the encouragement.

  • @judoboy1962 Good luck with your training.

  • Its been about 3 years now, And i still havent been able to find this SONG!!!! AHhhhh!!! Please help me, anyone.

  • @sunnyjjpark venture deep into the internet and you will find a random place created by mr. poole and ask these wise being for the information you seek. Be warned though. They can be as cruel as they are all knowing so use caution with what you say.

  • what is that skill??? 1:35

  • @bruceqliao It's yoko wakare- amazing though it may seem, it's incredibly difficult to do against a skilled opponent...

  • Judo is very nice style, but it is more like sport these days, than actual art.:/

  • Beautiful!!!

  • Are double and single leg take down legal in Judo ? I always had an impresion that they are not. The video is beautifull by the way, I am karateka and kickboxer and I intend to start training judo as soon as possible because it is so beatifull ;)

  • @Theseus1000

they aren't. in the newest rules, you can only grab your opponent's leg when you are countering or changening an attack. the most common tecnique is Kata Guruma (1:13). in the older rules, you could grab both opponent's legs, but you had to take down rising his legs, not pushing with your chest, that was considered a "Tackle", and it was forbidden 'couse it goes against the judo spirit (using tecnique over strenght)

  • awesome way to promote judo art in my city its not that popular but still judo is my passion people must understand how gental this game is and i ain't gonna say bad about any art because we cant creat any art by our own but we can learn

  • @IchiDeux whats wrong with that? i practice aikido, and i'm still liking this video =D
