Nice video. I plan buy this model of Ipod. And whats about battery? How quality is it? Many people say: "Changing battery in Ipod is impossible". Is it true?
@MorganMaryAnn Hey I got mine offline because I wanted my ipod 160 gigabyte engraved off of Apple's website I got it for an early birthday gift in 2011 I got black the reason why I got black is because my friends is the 160 gigabyte in blak!
Well, I'm not sure. Apple pops surprises now and then. This January on the 26th? I'm not sure but in the twenty's. Apple announced they are going to unveil something huge (Rumored to be a Tablet) but they are probably going to release something else too. So, the might release a new Classic.
BTW, I know that the nano is very easy to fill up. I only have 500 MB free on mine, and since I refuse to delete any songs from it (I only put songs I like there I like), I'll have to sell it and get my iPod classic. My music library has grown in the last 6 months from 450 to 1050 songs (encoded in AAC 224 kbps VBR).
Yeah, but it has a much lower capacity. If you have more than 1,000 songs, it's pretty useless unless you get the 16 GB iPod nano or the iPod Classic.
The 8 GB model gets filled up pretty quickly. I have 900 songs (encoded with LAME @ 224 kbps) and it takes up 5.4 GB, and I had 50 video podcasts in it, which took up 1 GB in space. This left me with only 850 MB free, so I had to get rid of all the videos, which means that I'm left with 1.8 GB of free space. The iPod classic has games, too.
i download apps to my computer and i cant get them on my ipod classic i tried one app an i wouldent sync it even though i clicked on check all apps and i couldnt find them on my ipod so i downloaded one that i know works on ipod classic u know itazer ive seen it on classics but it still wont get on my ipod
do u know when u buy ipod classic can u put music and video on it like how u put it on ur phone like copy and paste or do u have to buy it from itunes.
As far as sound quality goes, the iPod nano has the best (I have tried all, and the iPod nano had the most bass, and better mids and highs). The iPod classic and touch sound the same. The sound quality of the classic and touch is pretty shit IMO.
Kinda ironic that you call someone "stupid" when you can't write. And this isn't about the sound of the audio files, I was talking about the sound quality of the players themselves. The player with the better sound chip, which is in this case the iPod nano, will have the better quality. If you put 256 kbps AAC files on both players, the nano will sound better because of the better sound chip.
"lol sound chip you make me laugh you have no idea what you are talking about"
This comment pretty much proves all that I said earlier. You don't know anything about hardware, and the one with no idea of what's being talked about is you.
I know that, but it doesn't change the fact that by default, the sound quality of the iPod classic is shit compared the iPod nano in every single aspect. To get the same sound quality as the nano, you have to use EQ. The iPod classic has a bigger screen and a much larger capacity, not to mention 50% better battery life.
A discography can get pretty large. If all the files are 320 kbps, a single artist can range anywhere from about 1 - 8 GB. Have 30 artists each with a 4GB discography, and that's 120GB right there. I use my Ipod as more of a storage device, and use floola to backup the songs on my computers. I also store files other than music tracks, so that helps fill it up too.
You see, i don't really think the touch can be called an iPod 'cause it bears no resemblance to the iPod brand, namely, the clicky wheel, or the white minimalist idea.
I never has these problems with my 160 and i got one when they first came out and i have a lot of stuff on mine between songs movies, music vids pics the scroll was kinda slow but thats about it then it got better with one of the updates mine never crashed, batt life is great in fact the day i got it i took it on a 5 hour car ride with me played the whole time and still had 3/4 of the batt left when i got to where i was going
Please reply. Im gonna send out my ipod video to circuit city because of malfunctions and learned tonight that I probaly will get a gift card instead of a new video. Would you suggest this? Could I get teh split screen off the ipod?
what a waste, i mean so what if the features r cool just get a reg ipod afor 100 bucks and u have like a couple GBS and still u get a shit load of songs
i hope they upgrade the "classic" soon, maybe combind the "touch" and "classic" but that might rise cost to much, but maybe in a few more years. at least add wi-fi or something soon
ive got a 2gb ipod nano and i love it... the only thing i want is more space and the ability to watch movies would buying an 80gb ipod classic be good for this? also can it surf the web like the ipod touch can?
if i have 30 songs on my PC then sync an ipod, the ipod will then have 30 songs on it yes?, but then if i delete 3 songs and then sync it again will there only be 27 songs on the ipod? PLEASE REPLY (i need to know because i want to buy an ipod but dont want to have to keep loads of songs on my PC) THANKS
yea dude.. yer itunes iPod library will be the same as yer itunes library.. unfortunately u cannot delete music directly frm iPod classic.. u can only delete songs and vids frm da ipod touch..
yes thats correct... one of the few downsides to ipods another downside is that unless you want to buy an expensive docking station you can only charge your ipod up if you have access to a computer
@ApFaqTech and this is the point why you don't have any idea how good music sounds like. a typically person which fills his iPod with 128kbit music downloaded from youtube and listens to music with apple earphones or earphones under 100$
Cuz since you obviously use iTunes with your iPod , you can just copy and paste pictures for the album art , OR if you have an iTunes account and all of your Album information right , you can request iTunes store to seek for Album art for you!
u buy the movies online tru the itunes or you can download limewire and do it for free! i got my classic yesterday and its the shit, i mean i really dont want the ability to hookit to the tv, its just a damn mp3 player! its not that serious and i dont need alot to get impressed and this has so many features, i sometime just intertain myself and see if i can find something i did not know was there! like the screen lock thing!Lol
Ah, the biggest difference is that the 5th Gen. 80 GB iPod was fast, quiet, and dependable unlike its "classic" counterpart. The new product is full of bugs. I could care less about the eye candy factor. I want my mp3/photo/text/video player to work properly and not crash all the time. Updated software is still filled with "bugs." Classic is overpriced junk.

you are stupid.
both the nano and the classic output the same audio files and use the same audio jacks.
but with the classic you dont have to compact music to put alot of songs on it
So if either has better its definatly the classic

The point of getting a classic over the nano is the extra space. I'm almost out of room on my classic, so a nano would be a nightmare.
rauron9 2 years ago
