Good technique man at least you may have had some training and are practicing. Some people here have no clue of what they are talking about they have their opinons however, maybe if technique was explained it would be better and I am by no means saying you have to explain what you are doing. Be Safe
Why shoot to empty? Count down and with ONE left in the pipe, drop the mag and reload. Then shoot without racking the slide. Just KEEP THE MUZZLE pointed down range.
@youmustlearn Impossible to do in real combat, FBI did a study once and thats what they came to figure. Most people that shoot their gun in a life and death situation have trouble remembering how many rounds they fired when they fired multible times.
when the mag empties the gun is already cocked back, so when you put the new mag in all you have to do is press the button to chamber the bullet, what the fuck is guy doing?????
@187robocop It's a superior way to train, just like why you shouldn't use the slide stop for normal reloads. It works on almost all handguns, and furthermore, gives more movement for the slide, which means it's more likely to not have a malfunction.
Nicely done the only suggestion I might make Is to use your belt to release the slide, I havent tried using the back of my boot, but I imagine at least for me that in a combat situation it may take me off balance, but if it works for you then great!
@subiedude07 using belt for racking the slide increases your chances of shooting yourself in a butt :-) I was taught in the army to take cover and change position for every reload. So sitting down and maybe rolling to change position seems like a better idea to me. Honestly I don't believe in BS of keeping eyes on a target at all times. A single mistake, single misfire, single bad mag or a feed jam and you're faken dead, cuz the guy you've been shooting at got a 1 second advantage over you
@TTok33 look up a guy that goes by the handle "retreathell" here on YT. He was wounded during a firefight in Iraq and is now wheelchair bound. In his account, one of the critical "mistakes" he felt he made was taking his eyes off a threat in order to reload his weapon (which had run dry). The man, who had been shot and fallen out of sight, got back up and caused the injury that put him in a chair. Not criticizing your view per se, but food for thought. Also, props for your (and his) service.
@johnpatrick818 I feel really sorry for that guy. Hopefully his country and his loved ones didn't betray him, cuz that shit happens too. Anyway my point was that not being an easy target is as important as being aware of your surroundings. Better to be a hunter than a prey.
PS I served in the Soviet Army, but thanks anyway ;-)
A lot easier doing one handed reloads using the slide stop lever rather than a modified power stroke. Just my opinion.
