Thank you, this is a most beautiful song. Every time I listen to it I cry. I have 3 boys with CF and I find it hard to reach my emotions. This song has tuch me in a special way.
Furthermore to this ... I have to honestly say, I have heard all versions of this song and I don't believe the original had the weight to win a Gold Guitar, be toured by an extremely CF charity focused band sailing from Sydney to Airlie Beach raising thousands of coin for CF research and further to that, be performed to 100's of thousands of people both nationally and internationally in the hope of raising awareness for CF.
These guys are amazing for what they have done not for fame but for CF
Have to correct the previous comments as I have a copy of Wolverines & Roses and it clearly commends Lee J for writing the song in the credits therefore royalties would have to be paid. I also remember watching the Australian Gold Guitar awards when the Wolverines WON the award and in their speech, they thanked Lee J for writing the song and allowing them to present their own version which has been extremely successful for CF which I think was the purpose in the first place ...
@djzacslade We have the video of the 2002 Golden Guitar Awards at home - the band DID NOT thank my Ma - & they copped a lot of 'stick' for it 2 from DJ's the very next day & well after that as everyone was so disgusted at them for not even mentioning her ! She doesn't want me to comment further about what happened re-royalties etc as she said "Wait for the book to come out" - the TRUTH will come out in the end!

A Family friend passed away this week from compications of this, he was 29 and was not meant to get to be a Teenager, he ended up having a double lung transplant and lived life to the fullest..He was a lovely young Man and played every sport you could think of..There is always hope so chins up to you all and God Bless you and your Families..I just had to come and play this beautiful sad song tonight..

@krystalwaters21 Hey Krystal! Thanks for mentioning that my mum wrote the song - everybody thinks the Wolverines wrote it & they don't tell anyone she wrote it & it was all her idea. She's going to America this April to sing at a CF concert with 12 bands! & she's getting to sing her version - which is heaps better than this one. It's all for the CF people tho - she's an amazing mum - I get angry - she just says we're the lucky ones not having CF!

I have CF. My doctors don't expect me to live for more than 4-5 years. It's kind of a shame that this disease isn't more widely-known like cancer.
But I am not complaining. I have a fantastic life, and no matter what my doctor says I'm going to overcome this.
