  • Thank you for posting this rare film. My father, Ron Chidgey, was with the RAF in Borneo/Singapore between 63-67, In fact our family joined him in Singapore from 65-67 - the images are definitely recalled by my mother (sadly my father no longer with us). Would love to see more clips or photos!

  • I was in Borneo 1963/66.I was on secondment to the SBS at Sematan,up near Tanjong Datu(far western tip of Sarawak). We were there to allow the Main force of SBS to go up to Tawau,to form the Tawau Assault Group. This was about July 1964.I did Ops all along the Milano Bay,Turtle Islands and Tanjong Datu area.Days gone by! I was only 18 when I went out there.

  • Not sure I recognise anyone as I couldn't make out the faces but my dad was stationed out there and it all looks very familiar. He took hundreds of photographs and the tent village looked remarkable similar. His name was George 'jock' Mitchell (also known as Mad Mitch) and he was an engineer in the RAF, working on maintaining the helicopters mainly but also the planes. When I'm next in the UK, I'll try and dig out the photos.

  • @fullcircledesign Ok ill ask my father where are you now im in aus

  • @Aestheticpassion Based in Dubai.
