they are both quite equal. they are both free and you can find any song almost on both limewire and bearshare. If you get a virus just get free virus protection and search whatever protection you got plus the serial here on youtube. Example- malewarebytes serial.

umm to all these ppl sayin limewire and bearshare both have viruses... its not from limewire or bearshare, its from ppl cuz these are p2p services (person to person) and you could always get a virus blocker? duh

limewire and bearshare both have viruses. dont download either of them. had limewire for 3 weeks, got a virus on my computer and had to get a new one. had bearshare for a month. same thing happened. u can try it if you want but u might regret it. good luck :)

Don't use the latest version of Bearshare, in that version, as you noticed, yo have to pay fro every thing you try to download. Get the 6.5.2 Pro Version of it, That is what I'm using to get ONLY FREE items, nothing is for sale :) Just search and download all for free. Follow my instructions in the reply to PatrickMarcader

I used to download songs from bearshare but I stopped for a couple weeks, then when I tried to download again, its asking for me to register. I tried re-installing and it still asks me to register, I tried to reformat my laptop, then re-installed bearshare, still asking to register. Changed my Computer Serial Number, same thing. Does bearshare automaticaly registers your IP if you have used its 30 day trial whatever? anybody???? or am I just missing something here.
