  • While I loved the Narnia that The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe created, but I feel that the subsequent films suffered because of the unnecessary sub-plots and the attempts to make an action-adventure movie out of a fantasy series. I love the cast choices, but at this point, honestly I would suggest to let this one die for now, and be reborn later as the Narnia we always wanted. Once Peter Jackson is done with the Hobbit, he can start on Chronicles of Narnia. It would be amazing. :)

  • I totally like MN more that SC! And selling it as a prequel I think will bring people back. I really, really hope it happens!!

  • I think making a stop-motion animated re-boot would be the best thing to do. Tragically this series, was made very badly and has died. I think the problem was that they were making a fairy tale and they made a mini lord of the rings.

  • @300warrior300 I am questionable on the animated idea, however, I agree with you 100% on the LOTR theory. CoN and LOTR are 2 entirely different series and shouldn't be made similar to one another (even if the authors were friends).

Best idea for the franchise? Most logical would be to do SC while Will Poulter is still young enough to play the part of Eustace because he has to do it again in TLB. Second most logical; Start over from scratch and this time do it right. Third; drop it altogether.

  • @BuckWilliams17 I really think it could work, imagine this stuff, modernized.

if they did make another film with will pouter, i think they should at least get a director with enough confidence to give it it's own new look, and put the innocent fairy taleness back in it... perhaps Guillermo del Toro or Tim Burton

  • @300warrior300 Guillemo del Toro turned down Narnia the first time around, why would he want it this time? Just to say "Anything you can do I can do better?" Looking at Tim Burton's past directings, I don't think Narnia is his cup of tea.

However, I will admit, you have my interest in the stop-motion style. Question: What do you mean by modernized?

  • @BuckWilliams17 I must admit I had no idea Del Toro was offered narnia. I must look into that. Hmm, I still think Tim Burton would be good. I was very impressed by his Alice in wonderland. Perhaps Gore Verbinski I think the artistic quality of Rango and Pirates in underrated. Again though, he might be little to wacky and OTT. Martin Scorsese could be good if Hugo turns out well.

By modernized I meant with newer technology, higher definition cameras, CG elements etc.

  • How about doing silver chair( w/ a smalller budged) and Magicians nephew?

  • I hope the series continues, i really want the silver chair to be made because it is the most logical thing to do, but whatever happens i will always be a fan of the series

  • I vote for doing reboot starting with Magician's Nephew.

  • MODERN?! HAMBURGERS?! What has the world come to?! lol Very good perspectives. I actually hope for Silver Chair first so that our lovely Will won't grow too old, then we can do the prequel. This news drought has been slightly scaring me lately. Pray for news soon!

  • Best green screen job you've ever done for a Narnia vlog/related piece!

lol at 6:24. Really cool to see the progression of all the filters you used.

Really liked the high production values, very enjoyable to watch.

  • @aMinotaursJourney: Thanks for the tip on the filter. You were right. Worked much better than Color Key. :)
