  • Could I be cheeky and ask for a toy update? same video but now? hehe

  • @rachelswirl Id love to, i will *try* to make it tomorrow for you

  • Awesome video! Thats so cute that shes so into animals! I fully agree on the wooden natural toys, they are better for their development i think. I love that big walker toy she got for christmas, where did you get it from? I also want to get one of those white shelves for our nursery, is that from Ikea?

  • @summerchic21

We got the walker from Toys R Us, I haven't seen it there since though. Yes the shelves are from ikea, great store!! :)

  • We do something similar with the rug only with books. As for toys, lol, there all over the place, hahahaha.

Great vid and you look great

  • Great video! I love the rotating idea! I might make a similar video myself :)

  • My little 8 month old son really likes books too, he likes to turn the pages :)

  • @mebirdo

Yeh books are great, she brings them up to me and says "ta" and i read them over and over, sometimes not getting the chance to read it but just flicking through the pages.

  • Hi Grace,

Fantastic video, where brand is the walker you have in the living room? I've been looking for something like that for my little one. Thanks.

  • @westy1238

Oh I don't know the brand, we got it from toys R us and it was their own brand i think. it was on special juts before xmas.

  • Great video!! We have been given some of the battery opperated toys and they are annoying! Andrew doesn't even like playing with them. We also have to many toys I think. i was just trying to figure out how to organize them cause like you i like everything organized and realized i need to give some away.

  • @kimweisenberger

Yeh well the roatation thing works well and you could give away the toys that he never plays with. They don't need to be so bombarded with toys, a few is enough to help them learn and have fun.

  • EXCELLENT video! This will probably give some good ideas for old-fashioned toys to new mums who would otherwise not think of these things! Perfect idea to rotate the toys! That is what I try to do with my grandson as well! Otherwise, I think it is confusing for them to see too many choices at one time --and they can't really concentrate on ANYTHING!!

GOOD JOB!! Lacey is so adorable and smart!! You must be doing something right!

  • @amishhorse

Yep, so true. They go from one toy to the next in such a flurry that they don't actually get a chance to sit down and play with just one. Thats why I try to pack up the toy befre she goes onto the next otherwise we end up with 3 toys out that she has drifted between but no concentrated activity. Hope that makes sense.

I hope it is able to help new mum's see what they can do with toys etc.

  • I'm also a big fan of few and rotating toys. I think when kids have too many toys it not only overwhelms them, but they don't appreciate what they have.

  • @lemondropsforever

I agree. I still think she has too many out atm but then when I see other childrens rooms, toy rooms and houses I think she doesn't have many at all. Children can't play with them all at the same time anyway, they just throw them all around the room and make a big mess.

  • lots of education toys!!! love it...also, you look a lot like Celine Dion!

  • @dvnm113

Celine Dion? I can't say I've ever heard that before :)

  • this is such a great video!

I love the puzzles, especially her name one.

  • @hprc7

The name one is great and she was so into the animal one.

  • OMG, several of those toys *I* had as a kid as well, so that took me back! Thanks for showing us her toys, it does show that all kids toys dont have to be battery operated and super noisy to be fun.

  • @TamaraLavon

Oh yeh the classics are great, they do still make em, you just have to search sometimes. She plays with toys I used to have a love too.

  • omg i remember "the new baby" i had that book, i think i have all those books with the gold thing on them

  • @AssNutt

Golden Books you mean :) Yeh they are great but atm are hard for Lacey to turn the pages, she turns all of them and we end up at the end of the book. But she brings that "new baby" book to me all the time to read to her.

  • @TheGraceDiaries

my mum has these special addition ones

that if she sold the would be worth hundreds lol

  • Wow, that is the tidiest and most organised kids bedroom I have ever seen. You have a great selection of toys that will help her developmental learning.

  • @53531640 HA! Yes i am a bit of a neat freak, everything has to be put away before the next thing is brought out.

  • Good old school toys I love it. Thats how Im going to go with my third,

  • @elesha76 Great, sounds good, so much easier and simplier

  • I love this video! Lots of great ideas for simple, educational toys. Thank you! :) Do you know where to get the name puzzle? What a great idea!

  • Did you think of a name for the new baby yet? Are you going to show the baby's room when you get it done? This was a great video! I don't think kids need all those loud toys to have fun!

  • @crissyfab Yes we have a name for the baby, i may reveal it before she is born :) Yes I will do a video of her room when it is done.

  • Great video!!!! : ) Yea I have seen a lot of those toys at Ikea : ) I think we need to make another trip there soon lol. I really like how you rotate toys out. I have heard a lot of people do that. Where did they get the puzzle of Lacey's name? I have actually been looking for a puzzle of Jaydens name but all the ones I have seen don't have the little peg that you grab onto.
