i am speeking as a personal xterra owner saying that my xterra is not shitty offroad. no quite the contrair it is actually identical to the frontie when it cones to frame and suspension, its just beefier. but it has alot more traction the the rear tires, giving it better all round 4wheeling. i love it. but both trust imo are amazing offroad. no doubt about it.

Hey @painfull94 - Don't listen to HeadNtheClouds - anyone who has driven both Xterras and Frontiers off road will tell you the Xterra is better. The Frontier is an excellent truck, but the Xterra (especially first gen) are better.

ALSO The Desert Runner is 2-wheel drive so it is useless off road.

@yazza69 Well its kind funny, because the Xterra and Frontier have the same chasis. I personally like having an Xterra more because SUV's are heavier. 2wd really arent that useless, a lot of guys with Xterra's have 2wd and can hit trails just as hard as 4wd guys. Plus 2wd guys and lift their trucks higher and have less worries cause no CV shaft angles stop them

@yazza69 I HAVE A 2WD NISSAN that can probably stomp your'e, and the calimini with the same size tire!!! BY THE WAY NICE YELLOW FRONTIER but other trucks are a trail joke, and can easily be beaten in most situations with a good 2wd HB SETUP and will outlast it by far!!!!!! the only diff, from extera & 4x4 fronts, is in the rear spring packs and pivot points allows extera more rear travel, change this & it's fronty ,and HB all the way! trucks have better center, tall body is bad on trails

@jimmybajakit you also have limited sight with bigger bodies, that limits driver capability. amagine a suv on 33" and a 60" body lift pulling the wheels of the ground every time it goes into arc,( instant loss of traction) ! 4wd would not matter, you would get beat by a stock 2wd on 31" every time. suspension travel and proper spring rate, proper weight transfer, and cent of grv, will give the most capable traction for a specified vehicle other than tire and locker!

@painfull94 Frontier, you gotta get a Desert Runner if you can find one, they are wider than the stock Frontiers & have beefier suspension. Xterra, what's the point? you got more than 1 passenger?, they flip over & driving a truck is way cooler.
