Here's the problem I have with the idea of the stimulus: People are not spending money becasue money's tight and people are now conserving, but Obama's stimulus package written by Pelosi and Reid are basically saying, "Well if you're not going to spend your money we will spend it for you through taxes America." Cut taxes for everyone, not just the lower income brackets which pay a very small percentage of the overall tax revenue. Eliminate or greatly reduce corporate gains taxes. This will stimulate spending. The more people spend in taxes the less they have to spend in the private sector. Thus less money received by other companies, less they have to spend, etc. Cut Fed spending. Why are we giving money to countries that hate us and why do we feel entitled to retirement and medical benefits?

it's not that the bill is imperfect. that's a gigantic understatement. it's a gigantic spending bill that we won't be able to pay off for decades to come. and any "job creation" is just a bunch of temp crap, not to mention a bureaucratic nightmare. this is getting pushed through for political reasons and everyone knows it.
