uk has some really class acts no question..iam quite sure the usa has as many except for one think....the tend to focus on plastic pop acts..use once and bin it..even music has become a throw away item.max profit for minimum input..most of the uk artists are more or less self established before record company interest..basicly its down to the public buying crap..bands have one shot only.no time to grow or devlope and contracts so tight they cant become what they should.shame really

@zsnfld Duffy isnt exactly underrated, the thing about her is that many people find the fact that she's too unique kinda weird and they decide that they just dont like her, and there are plenty of those people :) people want what's different and they reject its when its available! her fans love her for a good reason, the others dislike her for the same reason only it has become somehow negative instead of positive. Duffy is at the edge of things, and this is where the listeners are!
