  • Is it good for your master level to reach the red like that?

  • When I export my work from Reason it doesnt seem to sound really hard, loud and professional. It sound quite dull! How do I get it to sound professional!

  • @cen208 Try using the default mastering suite or upgrade to Reason 6 the end of this month the new SSL Mixer makes a world of difference now!!

  • @cen208 The sounds from reason sound very compressed. Unfortunately that's the way it is. I use Cubase now and the dynamics in that is incredible

  • that shit is fire word.

  • hey is it a bad idea to eq every instrument?

  • @BigStacks18 Actually it's a good idea that way you can shape your own sound...its up to you the producer

  • i use Dual Band Compression but im gettin static soundin music and every other master efx i used sound so muffled and mute! help plz someone my tracks distort and peak maybe i should switch to Default Master suite?

  • Yeah u will be better off using the default master suite so that you dont have to worry about distortion...

  • i have a friend at the studios i engineer at who uses reason rewired to ableton so he can use VSTs. i havent tried exporting individual wavs of each track to pro tools yet but i should because i cant do anything with reason's EQ and compressions. i have Waves Mercury bundle that i use for my band mixes with the studio gear so that should probably be awesome with reason tracks

  • do you ever separate your drum tracks?

  • Yes that set up I currently use now I seperate all my sounds within reason or when I go to the studio i export all wav files seperately for a master mix..

  • fasho, i mix the tracks and export mine like that too and then i import them into pro tools. there i can get more of a fine tune on the mix.

  • im sure he doesn't use stock drums...

  • Do you you beats through protools or do you go with you original reason mix? Because I've recently switched from reason 3 to 4 . and That mastering suite has givin me some nice warm mixes. So, I guess my question for is... DO I REALLY NEED PROTOOLS? Your music is always bangin' So, I value you opinion. I liked that track too.

  • Actually I make my tracks exclusively in Reason but that will change as of tommorrow I will have Pro Tools. But I will be experimenting with pro tools but it will mainly be for recording vocals. But I know I will be making tracks in pro toos with Reason because I will have access to other VST sounds that are not available with Reason. Good Lookin though fam.

  • Yo Vic what software you using to record(this video tutorial) what your doing in Reason?

  • I use Camtasia Studio 5 for these type of tutorials.

  • The sound is hot good job bigg
