  • Thank you for your comment from Greece Rettellas!

I transcribed all 13 minutes of this piece back in '91 which resulted in 22 pages of

tab @ 32 measures per page!

There is a part 2 to this piece as well!

  • i've downloaded all your guitar plays on my ipod. The 9/8 tempo is just fantastic!

  • It is really amazing to think that someone could play like this 40 years ago!

    This album was recorded in1969!

Thanks for your interest in the music of

    Suni McGrath in Greece!

  • PS: this piece starts out with a strum on the Dm chord with a F on the bottom. The melody is played on the bass strings; the 12 string guitar adds the higher pitch of the octave on the bottom strings...more later...

  • i am an irish-music fan, and this is the music i just love

  • Thank you Rettellas for your comment from Greece!

"Garden of the Afternoon" is the sequel

    to the "Cornflower Suite".

"7 Stars" is the sequel to that!

    Thanks Aly!

  • wawawawawawaw nice

  • the more i listen to this song the more of a masterpiece i realize it is

  • I feel the same way as you miasm!

    Cheers!

  • Thats one of the best pieces of music i have ever heard 5/5

  • I feel the same way as you foodfighter and I have been listening to it since 1969 when it was recorded! That is one reason that I transcribed the entire piece resulting

in 22 pages of tablature! Cheers!

  • is there a transcription of this up anywhere?

  • The only transcription that I know of is the one I transcribed 20 years ago! It took me 3 months at 4-5 hours per day and resulted in 22pages of tablature! wow!

  • what tuning is it in?

  • The Cornflower Suite is in the most esoteric tuning you can possibly imagine:

Standard Tuning! Suni McGrath played in the tradition of the Rev. Gary Davis who could play in any key in standard tuning!

  • Bellisimo!!!

  • very sweet ,,,babsie x

    Anette

  • You mean12 string, right? This piece cut a new genre of music back in '69, along with (p2); the other 6 min of this piece and

"Garden of the Afternoon" comprise a suite of sorts.

  • I mean 12string, my keyboard sometimes has its own meaning of correct writing.

    Michael

  • thanks too--this is be-oo-ti-ful:-)allright!
