This is great, I've been looking for a good example of that fine dobro sound. I'm getting one myself this week. I'm feeling competent enough on my cigar box and lap steel so this is my next venture :). Do you make all of your own backing tracks? If so, is there anyway i could purchase, or get a couple of these on selected songs mainly this and man of constant sorrow. If you can Martin that would be absaloutly fantastic.

That is so great! What exactly are you doing to make that sound with your pickin' fingers. All I know how to do is pick the note I am playing.

Crisdee, there are so many different ways to pick a note. It depends on how hard you pick it, on how far from the bridge you pick it and what you are doing with the steel bar after you pick it. There are so many ways to create a tone on the reso.
