  • The most beautiful voice I have ever heard. Admirer from USA

  • I love Teresa Teng. she is the best.

  • Oh, my favorite singer Teresa Teng. So I often hear many times your songs and am always pleased. IIHR appearance and her voice thrilled me again and again to the new. Thus, I also belong to her great Fancomunity

  • Thank you so very much, Jeremy. You're correct, not too familiar with You Tube features, but learning. The lyrics of this song are beautiful, just as her voice is. I love this dear lady, and admire everything she stood for, as well as her awesome music.

  • I love everything about Teresa Teng, her charisma, charm, incredible voice, and how she touched so many people all over Asia. What an angel! My only regret is that I don't speak any Asian languages, so often wish i understood her lyrics. Can anyone tell me what her four wishes are in this song?

  • @Lpmgato1

Hi, there, glad you asked. You're not too familiar with youtube presentation formats, are you? Right below the video, you see a drop down bar with 2 arrows pointing down. Click on that and you see more info. I have the complete translation in the info. Enjoy!

    God bless you,

    Jeremy

  • What a beauty, her fingers are long and beautiful and her eyes and voice are hypnotic...TT the Perfect Woman.

  • Teresa, your four wishes are granted...by me. I have one wish...I wish you were still here.

    Nice video, thanks.

  • A bubbly cute song from a more than exceptionally gorgeous woman! I hope Teresa's in Heaven singing for the rest of God's Angels while we're down here creating our own Paradise listening to her music ^_^

  • I meet a song, Girl of Alisan two days ago. while searching other songs of Teresa Teng, I found Four Wishs. Thank you, canaanoptical for nice song.

  • Teresa Teng was truly a wonderful and beautiful gift to the world. Thank you, Jeremy, for these videos along with the translations.

  • Hi, thanks again for sharing with us! It's great to hear from you again! :-))

  • Thank you and you're very welcome, Jeremy! It's great to be here with my friends and fellow fans of Teresa Teng!

  • Thank you for sharing this video with subtitles. I have the VCD but no idea what she is telling.

I love Teresa. She is the best!

  • I am glad I'm of help. When I have time, I would do more subtitles for her fans. Thank you for your encouragement!

  • does anyone know if this locale in this video is her apartment in japan?

  • No. This video was produced in Hong Kong in 1978, the room in the video should be a studio at Hong Kong local TV company.

  • back in 1978, I was in HONG KONG, in a refugee camp with 1000s of other refugees looking for a country to sponsor out of HONG KONG or get deported back, right next to kai tuk hong kong international airport, enduring hardships. We felt like we were in prison. But I turned out okay now. love teresa's singing

  • Interesting story, we Chinese has an old saying"大難不死,必有後福",or "If you survived a bad fate, your future will be blessed". Wish you and your family a happy time and great future!

  • It was shot on location. The company sent a team to Japan for this whole TV show.

  • WAH this is soooooo good, i love Teresa :D

  • Again, she's not the original singer, but she gives a song new life by covering it!

  • Wonderful Jeremy, You did it again, wonderful of you, so appreciated. Bye for now, from David (Milton)

  • Great to hear from you again, David! Bye, take care!

  • sounds like a mix of mandarin(taiwanese) and cantonese :s

  • You speak Mandarin and Cantonese, Jonatan? In this video, Teresa speaks Cantonese and sings in Mandarin! :-))

  • I'm learning Mandarin and have some Cantononese friends...

  • I'm glad to know that. You can contact me if there is anything I can do for you. My e-mail is on my channel front page. It's also my msn messenger ID. Hope to hear from you!

  • Beutiful sonG!!

  • תודה!

    Thank you!

  • This is my first time to listen to Teresa's version, and I must admit that I quite like it! Although the original is written in Japanese, and so much effort is made to be as close as the original lyrics, I think the Mandarin version says more than the original! And it rhymes! ... which we don't usually even think about in Japanese!

Thank you for posting! (from a Chinese-speaking Japanese)

  • Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It's nice to there are so many of us who appreciate music, lyrics and Teresa.

  • Thank you for this clip with the English subtitles for Teresa's words. I cannot speak Mandarin, Cantonese or Japanese so I am never able to understand the words which she usually speaks and sings or the titles of most of her However I like the pictures very much. If any fellow Teresa fan is able to upload any videos of her speaking with English subtitles I should be very grateful. Also does anyone know of any books about her which are published in English. Many thanks.

  • You are welcome. This is my 3rd attempt at adding subtitles. I am glad the effort made a difference for you.

    regards,

    Jeremy

  • Hello. Its original song is a Japanese one,

"Yottsu-no Onegai" by Chiaki Naomi, able to found in Youtube .

    Anyway I prefer Teresa's.

  • Thank you. I am aware that this was a Japanese song, but I have not heard it before. I grew up listening to Teresa's voice everyday on the radio and seeing her pictures in the papers almost everyday. She was a part of my life
