  • awesome!

  • el film da esmo eeeh?

  • @ka7lo0osh

    The Band's Visit...film gamed neek

    Beautiful song !

  • This is beautiful :-)

  • Cute movie I like.

I would like to see that scores they are reading while they play with that 1/4 tones, nothing like that we can hear in occidental places,,at least in my place cd juarez mexico....

  • @WJiamei I agree with what you are saying but i mean that the Jews are who caused this fear for themselves

  • @modyfication1 that's what i said also...

  • live sory*

  • the quran isn't a problem and the evidence is that the god is saying to mohamed in quran "and if they demanded peace give it to them" in arabic ( wa en ganaho lel selm fagnah laha wa tawakkal ala allah)

but i have a question needing an answer, after ww2 and hitler killing of jews they escaped to the middle

  • east and began their life there, the question is ; why did the jews introduced them selves to the arabs as enemies i mean why didn't they leave side by side with arabs muslims and christians as refugees as example and i am sure that the arabs would have accepted their presence and europe jews live together with arab jews and muslims and christians and they would have been accepted to live in all the arab countries not only in palestin only ???

  • @modyfication1 jews and americans live the total stupor of fear. As the saying goes, americans attack anyone they want to attack; Israelis attacks the one who plans to attack them - perpetually obsessed with compulsive enemies exist in their heads, no?

  • and made the arabs and muslims there enemies because there is a quraan quote says "The god don't refuse your treatment with the non muslims and don't refuse to treat them well but also he loves who treats them well and in a good manner as long as they don't try to dismiss you from homes or fight you in religion" so it was no need to that fear the Jews caused to them selves by fighting arabs and muslims

  • @WJiamei could you guys please comment just about the music? enjoy!

  • @djudeo :-D ok

  • What a beautiful movie...Made me cry.

  • i like arab music now =D

  • Beautiful music, spoke to my soul, as a New Zealander raised on a steady stream of British and US culture, it is awe inspiring in the true sense of the words to see this and experience the profound beauty in the singers voice and the intricate beauty of the musical instruments, I know now I have to find more of this amazing music and incorporate it into my musical knowledge and experience.

  • one of the best movies i have seen in a long time , and i liked how it only focused on the human side of those people ignoring any political issues that the world seem to focus on wz any Arab/Israel situation .

  • it is so true, both nations are more than just war

  • Thank you achapar, but this is not the song I was talking about. It's called Ya Sabia, and it was in a scene not shown here.

  • excellent song, but sadly, the best part of the movie. for a movie with a band as the main character, there was nowhere near enough music.

  • nice very nice...i still have hope for the middle east

  • whewew i can get this song? i mean the full version of this song. thx for ur help

  • It would be really great if you could also post the scene from this movie where some of the men are playing a traditional (i think harp) instrument. I cannot remember very well, but I think it was at night, the night they stayed over in the "no culture" city. Thanks a million if you can do this!

  • It's called an qanoun or qanoon. It's a beautiful Middle Eastern string instrument. Youtube search for qanoun or qanoon music, and you'll find plenty of videos.

  • This movie made me cry:).

I couldn't hold back my tears:)

  • The scene of the night before the Band leaves in the morning, when the old man sings "Ya Sabiya," who sings that?

  • The name of the song is, "Mina, Where have you been all my life?" And where do you find these awsome videos?

  • From the film's credits: the song sung by the older musician sitting in the dark is called يا صَبِيّة‬‬ (ya Sabiya), words and music by حبيب ثحادة حنّا (Habib shaHada Hanna) and sung by فؤاد عازر (fou'ad 'azar).

  • Thank you altomaltes. If only I can get the lyrics in Arabic too. Doing a google search in Arabic didn't help me find the lyrics.

  • hi do you know where i can find the complete song ya sabiya....or a similar version of it cuz i cant find it please help

  • since when Egyptians go to "Israel" for a cultural show?

that won't even happen in their dreams.

  • hahahahaha your comment just shows what you understood aboutu the movie...n-o-t-h-i-n-g

  • Didn't see if anyone has answered your question yet - but the song is "Sunny" - Bobby Hebb has a great version - not sure if he was the original or not - it is also on the soundtrack for the movie The War - which is an amazing movie as well!

  • REEM 2NSANAAH 2KTAAR MN RA2E3AAAAH

  • this movie was amazing and I can not wait for the offical soundtrack to be released

  • yep, that movie was so simple, the end was unbelievable, i think they made it a simple story to showcase the 3 minutes of such SUPERB music!

  • this soundtrack should be released...i love all music in this movie.

  • Hi, where can I find this soundtrack?

What´s the name of the singer and song, witch the band sing on the last of the movie.

  • a gem of a movie, great director, great acting, beautiful, simple perfection. thank you for giving us such a beautiful hope of reconciliation. thank you, shoukroun, shalom, merci

  • Oh can you please post the song that the old man sings into the night ? It was so beautiful it made me want to cry!

  • i know exactly what part you're talking about! i did cry!

  • that was a beautiful scene

  • I loved this movie, it showed to me how much Arabs and Israelis have in common.

  • I loved the movied and specially the two last songs. I would like someone to give me first one lyrics in Arabic, since I have been studying the language and it would be great to read it and study its words in its onw language and letters. Thank you.

  • this is the lyrics of the first song but there are one word i can`t hear it : يا ليل يا ليلي يا ليل أيام في حضنك و الروح هنية شمس صيف و أبدية لمت أيامنا المنسية أيام .... والزمن غربته عسلية لو كنت حأعيش مرة تانية ما كنت حأغير و لا ثانية أيام طيبة والنور يشع بحرية والخير الي بينا مخلي لنا حياتنا حب و حنية
  • These 2 songs are beautiful especially the first one which carries lots of deep feelings, emotions and meanings, and it's so genuine arabic classical music .. it should be the national hymn of egypt or something, i am egyptian and i loved the movie .. too bad it didn't reach alot of people here, as people oppose anything that comes from israel. Hopefully israel's reign of terror would stop one day so relations would grow better between us and them.

  • I am not an Arab or Israeli person. I watched this movie in one night just when I passed my PhD exam. But after watching this movie, my heart has been broken into pieces. My heart has gone with this movie. I have watched many many good forein movies. I like the life of others. Two songs are heart breking. I like to thank the director and writer of the movie, Eran Kolirin. I believe one day he will win Oscar award. It looks like that he is very humble. Simply love this movie and arabic song.

  • does anyone know where to find the lyrics of the first song?

  • The ending was my favourite part of the film.

  • I was born in Egypt and I am a Jew .. I remember how my father cried when Om Kathoom died ... I am delighted to see your posting // the tragedy of hate has to stop .. this is a little gem of a movie that hopefully helps to point out the humanity of all of us

  • The second song is simply hypnotizing. I found out from the film's website its called "Everything Beautiful Reminds Me of You" sung by Reem Talhami. Unfortunately its not on amazon or anything...

  • yaa alellll...

    it's so exciting...

    raffaello,israel

  • My friend Masha and I went to the film expecting light entertainment and instead saw the most moving and intelligent cinema in years. And isn't the music gorgeous? But I gather the movie is boycotted in Egypt. How sad and senseless.

  • Even aljazeera promoted the movie. I dont know if they will show it in brasil, i hope so.

  • The Arabs have such an amazing culture. It's a shame we have been always been and will continue to slaughter each other.

I suspect the way I love this music, conversely, some Arab 7000 miles away loves western music just as much.

Hopefully after we finish our ridiculous wars against each other the best of each culture will survive.

  • i completely agree and it's extremely regrettable that most americans will pass up this gem of a film in favor of something that's more mass-appealing.

  • I saw it this afternoon. I think there were a total of 8 people in the theater :(

  • @AMVrepository Arabs are not bad people really, in fact many Jews lived with them for almost 1000 years. The problem that Arabs face is the idea of political Israel but not the Jewish people. One day I think Israel will be a mixed state for Arabs and Jews and they will be part of the Arab World but with thier cluture and education.

  • I really love this film
